Hola hola, my husband, mother and I ate here last night, for the first time. We are Mexicans, hmmm why in the world would we be eating here, when we can make ALL at home? Well why not? Our server was awesome, he was very friendly and ohh so nice! I guess it’s true you can spot the Hispanics right away, because Marlon talked to us in Spanish from the get go! So I looked up 3 different Mexicans restaurants around this area, and pictures do speak 1000 words, I chose this restaurant because of the pictures, I did NOT look at the reviews until just now! 1-The chips and salsa were YUMMY! Not your normal type of salsa! 2-The tahini Chile mango margaritas were huge and YUMMY! Took a bit long to get. 3- The Guacamole in the molcajete was a nice size serving but I had to doctored it up with limes and salt and Chile! 4- The Tortilla Chicken soup was YUMMY! 5- The Tacos al pastor were YUMMY 6- The Chorizo tacos were Yummy (moms) 7- The Carne Asada tacos Yummy (hubby) 8- Chile jalapeños toreados with onions that I asked for were NOT what I asked for! We were charged for it, BUT WE GOT chips and salsa to take home! Thank you Marlon 9- The two Flans were Yummy. 10- My Chorros with ice cream Yummy! 11- My FRESH COFFEE I got was Yummy! 12- 3 baskets of chips and salsa Yummy 13- The prices are normal 14- The restaurant is very adorable with Mexican decorations, maybe about 10 tables inside and maybe the same outside 15- Was very knowledgeable and did NOT write down our orders, all by memory wow! 16- He told us about Friday nights and about this up coming Sept 14! 17- I can hardly wait to go back and before we leave the house, I’m going to call and request Marlon for our table! 18- Marlon our prayers...

After a second meal here, I'm electing to drop a star from my previous 3 star review.
A few of use for a book club came in around 4pm on a first Friday, and despite putting in our orders in relatively early, people who came after us got served first. It literally took an hour to get our food. I'm a patient person, but it would have been nice to get an update; it kinda felt like maybe their stove wasn't working for a bit, as all i saw leaving the kitchen was stuff one could fry in a deep fryer.
When we got my order of Chori Pollo, it was without the tortillas I ordered, and I had to flag down a waiter who seemed very nonplussed about this. I did tend up getting them 10 minutes later. The waitress who sat us was perfectly fine, no issues.
Everything was cooked alright, but the food itself had little flavor. The chicken wasn't very well seasoned, the rice was a bit overcooked and flavorless, and the refried beans were very thin...i think i've had canned ones that were better.
In addition, they advertised seasonal drinks, and then when we ordered them, our waitress came back and told us they weren't being offered.
After two different meals being very under-seasoned and bland, I don't plan on coming back here of my own volition.
For a really good tex-mex restaurant nearby, try El Ray Tolteca about 5 minutes away near Bull Run/Sudley
-- Went here in october and got the burrito that was the special that day--it had pork and was a queso/green sauce. Tbh I found it pretty bland. Service was good though, and it's a cool location near the...
Read moreHorrible service, location and non-authentic Mexican cuisine. Went initially to attend a Mariachi event promoted on their site which there was no update regarding a canceled event. When I asked about this event, none of the servers seemed to even know their own ongoing events. So was initially disappointed having driven an hour for a no show event. Then came the horrible service, limited drink options and server failed to bring one of our meals and had to even be reminded of the order. The food server was the highlight, appearing very disgruntled and highly annoyed he was bringing our food. He didn’t even ask what plates were going where, he just threw whatever plate in front of whoever. God forbid we even ask him anything, which we did since one of the meat dishes was undercooked. His gloomy frustration and lack of customer service spoke miles of his inexperience or lack of professionalism. Our friend’s plate came with tortillas and was served naan bread or pupusa bread, not Mexican at all. I ordered the tacos al pastor which lacked any authentic taste at all and tasted like a dessert. Thank heavens for beer, chips and salsa, because that’s about all we ate. Ordered a patron tamarindo margarita and pretty sure they used some cheap tequila as it tasted horrible. We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather however deafened by the incoming trains every 15 min. If you want an authentic Mexican experience, taste and good service, refrain from coming here. I recommend Casa de Avila in Leesburg. Will avoid this place and fail...
