On the second Sunday of each month this living history of life in the early 1800's is alive with Historical activities, hands-on experience, visual displays and demonstrations, showing life without electricity and computers.
Today, February 11, 2018, the Fredrick Douglas speech from 1852 was reenacted to celebrate his 200'th birthday this month and commemorate the 6men of color from Manchester who were in the 29'th regiment in the civil war that were the first to attack Richmond, Va. To end the war.
In the nice weather there are outside activities as well as inside tours. On the grounds is also located the one room, Keene School House, complete with a 2 hole outhouse in the back.
