Go elsewhere and save yourself a headache.
On 7-17-23, we reached out to Dion about a cracked Surface Pro screen. We had called around and the turnaround time was about 4-5 weeks. When we called Dion, he said he could do it the day of, if he had the right model screen. When we arrived in person, he informed us he would have to order the screen since he did not have it in stock, understandable. He gave us a turnaround of about 3 days for him to have the screen shipped in. Quoted us at $279 plus tax, so about $297. We put down a $150 dollar deposit.
On 7-24-23, we drop off the computer and Dion tells us he will have it done the next day. 7-25-23 comes around he calls and tells us the screen he ordered from "his supplier" was defective and he needed to send it back and get a new one. Originally, he told us the "new screen" would be an original product. So not sure who his "supplier" is. Nonetheless, no issues with him having to return the screen for one that is not defective. Mistakes happen. Gives us a turnaround of about 5 days for him to get a new screen and have it repaired.
Meanwhile this is going on, we are in need of the computer for an important exam and schoolwork. Including finals. But we managed to make do and understood.
About 5 days have gone by and we do not hear from Dion. Text and calls. No response. On 8-1-23, Dion calls back and tells us there is an issue. Dion explains that the new screen he received works fine but that he accidentally shipped a part of our original screen with the defective screen back to the supplier. Without that part, the new screen could not work... and he was leaving for vacation for 2 weeks. So, we were SOL. We went to talk to Dion in person. Explained the same things and we explained our concerns (Time it was taking, no communication from him, and the hassle of working around without a computer).
Dion offered a lender computer. It was no use now since all finals were done. It would have been useful if that was offered from the beginning. Ultimately our outstanding balance was $147. We felt as if Dion had not expressed any apologies for his mistake or sympathized with our concerns. At least not until we bring it up. We Offred Dion and opportunity to make things right or at least ease the burden of the balance. Dion agreed we would discount the balance by $40. Dion did the math and realized $147 was left. Dion agreed to a discount of $47 and make it an even $100. The computer part would have returned by 8-14-23 and he would have it done that day. We shook hands and left.
8-14-23 comes around, no calls or texts from Dion. Dion eventually calls back and says he had not received the computer part from the supplier. Again, we had to contact him, and he had this information all day without telling us. 8-15 comes around, he reaches out to us to say he miraculously received the part he mailed off and will have the computer finished tomorrow, 8-16.
8-16-23 comes around and it’s finally done. Almost a month, or 23 days later.
Pick up the computer and it doesn’t seem to have any issues. Except that Dion now wants to go back on his word of making the outstanding balance $107 vs $100. Seven dollars, yes, is a small amount. But it’s the principle of him giving his word, shaking on it, and then going back on it. After we both go back and forth in raising our voices... he agrees to stay with what he agreed.
The computer seems to work for now. But we shall see in the...
Read moreTL:DR, don't go here unless the parts your getting are cheap. The more expensive ones aren't worth your while. Go somewhere else.
I usually don't leave reviews, but this time I had to. Two stars because my laptop does turn on and can be used for a couple minutes at a time. I'm a college student, so a lot of my money goes straight into to school and my supplies. My laptop screen was cracked, flickering real bad and I needed it fixed before the spring semester came around. I had initially gotten my screen repaired and happily took it home. Only to realize that my new screen wasn't working. It was fully black, couldn't see anything. I took it back and he looked at it again. He called me back saying it was a faulty screen and that he would replace it free of charge. He replaced it, still had problems. Lines were appearing all over the screen. Not to mention it was sloppily glued back together. Lastly, he replaced the screen cable and I thought my screen was finally gonna be good to go. I was wrong, now my laptop screen has an entirely new problem, the whole screen glitches out. I only have to be on it for two minutes or so for everything on the screen to completely blur. The only way to get rid of it is to power it off or put it to sleep. I didn't really want to take it back, I had drove over there so many times, but considering this is the laptop I use for school, I had to. When I got there, he completely dismissed my concerns and told me he already replaced my screen twice. He refused to do anymore work on it. I paid over three hundred dollars to get my laptop repaired, only to be left with a laptop that is barely usuable, the screen isn't even glued in the frame of the laptop right. I ended up taking it to another place to let them check it. In the end, they told me that I basically would have to pay for the whole screen to get repaired, again. I thought repairing the laptop would be cheaper, but at this point it would have been cheaper to just get another...
Read moreI met Dion in 2013 when he first opened. He worked on my computer and did a great job. I returned in 2018 and again he worked on my computer increasing the speed and cleaning it up.
I couldn’t find a computer person that I could trust. I live in Azle and drove the 37 miles one way to Mansfield because I knew I could trust Dion.
I was there this past weekend. He advised me that my desktop computer was old (brought it 2008) that repairs would be expensive and I would still have an old computer. He had a lighting fast laptop that he had refurbished. He helped me with adding all my existing programming and files to the new laptop.
What a great deal for me.
Thanks again for helping me with my...
