Stopped in yesterday with my son to buy toys for a gift basket for my nephew after purchasing baby art supplies across the street. As we walked in I made note that the person did not acknowledge us whatsoever. Instead, they carried on a conversation with another customer. We browsed the entire store and made our way from the front to the back several times without so much as a nod or wave of acknowledgment. The conversation continued in Spanish and as an Indigenous-Ecuatoriana I was excited for the chance for my son to connect with other Spanish speakers in town. I hope colorism has nothing to do with this but as a dark-skinned morena, I did not feel welcome whatsoever.

Read moreI love coming to this store every time I get the chance. I do have three lovely children and they enjoy coming here as well. In addition, the store is gorgeous, clean, and organized and has educational toys. I also have an amazing connection with the owner who speaks Spanish and shares the same thoughts because we are both from the same country so which makes my trip to the store even better and their staff are so wonderful as well. I am extremely excited about their new location in Summit can't wait to visit. Amo esta tienda...
