This was my first time buying a vehicle sight unseen and it will definitely be my last. I don’t even know where to begin. The communication sucked, especially after they received my check. The vehicle had so many lights on when it got to me. I knew about the check engine light, which I was told was for an O2 sensor (haven’t scanned it yet). Never mentioned the TPMS light being on, but all the tires have good pressure so that means at least one sensor is bad. The oil service light is on, which means they didn’t change it or were too lazy to reset the light. Lastly, the gas light was on. I’ve bought a lot of vehicles from dealerships in my life, and I have never had a dealership sell me a vehicle with the gas tank on E! They had the nerve to have this vehicle under a cover to “protect it from dust and fingerprints”, the paint on this car is so bad I’m going to have to do a paint correction. I asked for pictures of the underside, and I received the good angles. He then proceeded to tell me “it is clean underneath”. I get the car and there is a lot of rust under there. Last but not least, the trusted shipper sucked! I had to leave work early to meet the driver after I had told them what time I was available. And he ended up breaking this little flap in front of the rear tire with his piece of wood. If you want a vehicle from this dealership, go there and check...
Read moreDuring the past 2 years, I've purchased 4 old cars, 3 were Chevrolets ranging from 1938 to 1970. Those "3" were purchased from the same classic car dealer in NC. That particular dealer did not completely describe minor issues, for which I was not 100% pleased.
But this time, a 1972 Malibu was purchased sight unseen with the help of Justin at Collectible Car of Atlanta. Justin was patient with my many calls and emails and went over this vehicle verbally, being careful not to over-grade it. Once seen in person when arriving by truck, I fully agreed it was accurately described and fully functional.
We also consigned a rare 1970 Chevelle wagon I had at the same time with Justin and Steve both helping. Trucks were booked to pick my '70 wagon up and a separate truck delivered the '72 Malibu the following day. All this while, Justin and the trucking company were right by my side answering questions and making this a very smooth experience.
While I was hoping a single truck could pick up one and deliver the other at the same time, it did not work that way as it was a national firm running cars all over the country. So a bit more expensive than planned, but am happy in the end.
I give Justin, Steve, their co-workers, and the trucking company 5 stars and would not hesitate to make another purchase. "Bo" Cash,...
Read moreI was happy to travel with my adult son to Collectible Motor Car of Atlanta to pick up a car he wanted for some time. He works very hard and was excited to get the car. On the way back to PA the clutch popped out and did not want to go back in. We were on a 6 lane interstate highway and the cars and tractor trailers were zooming down on us at 85 mph. I truly believed we were going to be killed! Long story short, we were told their 'mechanic" had checked the car out and topped off all liquids. They did not. We had no oil and no transmission fluid. When my son contacted them and told them we had to tow the car back to PA (and we had to take a UBER) they were 'so sorry we had problem, but it wasn't their problem" is the reply he got. Buyer beware! They are not a dealership. They take cars on as a consignment and the cars are absolutely 'as is". They should not be trusted. If you got a car there with no issues, consider yourself lucky. The cost to fix this car to my son is thousands of dollars. The price of a near death experience on that interstate can not be erased from my mind for any cost. STAY AWAY FROM...
