I recently delivered my baby at Kennestone Hospital, and like many new moms, I had some uncertainty about what kind of care to expect. However, I am incredibly grateful to say that my experience far exceeded my expectations, and I felt genuinely cared for every step of the way.
From the moment I arrived, the level of professionalism, compassion, and attentiveness shown by the entire Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Care teams was truly impressive. My OB-GYN, Dr. Seema Khan, was exceptional. Her depth of knowledge, calm demeanor, and hands-on approach gave me great confidence. She was consistently checking in on me, closely monitoring my progress, and guiding the nursing team with clear instructions, which made me feel safe and well looked after.
In the Labor & Delivery unit, nurses Ana and Olivia stood out with their remarkable dedication. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, answered every question with patience, and were there with reassuring words and gentle support whenever I needed it. Their kindness made a world of difference during such an intense and emotional time.
After delivery, in the Postpartum unit, nurses Tiffany and Jennifer continued that same level of care. They were incredibly supportive—always ready to help, answer concerns, and offer encouragement as I recovered and adjusted to life with my newborn.
I will never forget the compassion, professionalism, and warmth shown to me during my stay. Kennestone Hospital’s team made a deeply personal and life-changing experience feel safe, supported, and even beautiful. I’m so thankful to every staff member who played a role in my care, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hospital to any...
Read moreI wish I could say I had a better delivery but I did not, they failed to look further into my concerns prior to giving birth , I told them many times I felt my baby was going to be big, they denied me ultrasounds and said “they’re not accurate” I asked at almost every appointment due to the amount of weight I was gaining at the end, my baby was 9 pounds 7 oz and I was pushing for almost 5 hours before they decided that me going in and out of consciousness was a concern so they gave me two options and decided a vacuum was going to help, during that the vacuum popped off his head 3 times and they gave me a tear to get him out. The epidural wasn’t placed correctly bc I felt everything and had to get stronger doses. The nurses were amazing though however just felt like this horrible delivery could’ve been prevented. I did have a nurse on the day I was scheduled to go home who was absolutely horrible. As a new mom I was devastated by how she was acting and treating me. She unwrapped my son under the AIR VENT and told me I was freezing him out when infact he was only cold because she took his swaddle off and placed him under the air vent. She was horrible to me. I was in pain and could barely get out of bed and she complained when I asked for help She made me cry, she was just so hateful to me whenever my fiancé would...
Read moreI got induced on March 11th and had my son on March 12th. My entire induction process was amazing. Nothing was rushed and they checked on me frequently. I was given pain meds when I asked and the staff was generally really nice. However the second this baby came out of me, everything changed. They did not ask for my consent to have a student resident stitch me up after tearing during birth. So she sat there for an hour messing up the stitches while I was quite literally passing out left and right from blood loss. My mom kept trying to tell them something was wrong but they would not listen. My hands were numb and blue and I couldn’t stay conscious. Then they put the IUD in immediately after I had my son. Over the next two days in the hospital we realized it didn’t stay in place in my uterus and was causing me IMMENSE pain. To which they gave me motrin and occasionally a norco. Then they went in with a speculum to open everything up and get the IUD. Which wouldn’t have been so bad if my stitches weren’t botched and everything wasn’t still swollen. I had stitches INSIDE me and they use a speculum to open everything up while giving me nothing but a Motrin for the pain. Absolutely ridiculous. The only upside from my postpartum experience was the staff. Everyone was so sweet to me but especially Caeley and Aster. They were...
