I have no idea whats been going on with this location of Tropical Smoothie Cafe but something is definitely up. In the year+ Iāve been going to this location Iāve seen multiple changes in their staff and even changes in managers. I could countless times complain about how the new staff just doesnāt seem trained and knowledgable as in the past but Iām not because understandably thereās been nationwide shortages in staff and its really somewhat not their fault ... but this new manager is the worst. She's supposed to lead this location so i hold her accountable.
The first sign I knew something was wrong is when she verbally told her staff in front me and other customers to cut down on changing their gloves. She claimed they were short on it and told them to use the same ones for a longer period of time. Since then Iāve seen people ring up orders, collect money, touch the register and use the same gloves to make smoothies or prepare food. Disgusting especially in a pandemic where people are getting ill and/or dying.
Today will be the last time I visit this location. Not only is she making her staff follow poor hygiene It seems as if sheās cutting back on food portions as well. Now iāve been going to TSC since about 2016. Iāve visited at least 6-8 locations in the Metro Atlanta and was coming to this location 3-5 times a week minimum so Iām familiar with a lot of things, so I definitely know when Iām being shorted on food. I ordered a Chipotle Chicken Club with my smoothie and had to come back because I noticed how much of a smaller portion was in the flatbread. SHE REFUSED TO MAKE A NEW ONE OR REFUND ME FOR MY ORDER. When I explained to her this isnāt the serving portion she verbally stated that weāve been giving too much and had to change to the correct serving amount. She even acknowledge my order was missing tomatoes, but said she wouldnāt remake or refund it. I didnāt even eat the flatbread I threw it away in the store.
SO TO MAKE CLEAR AGAIN, NEVER AGAIN WILL THIS DISGUSTING PLACE GET MY PATRONAGE. I feel bad for all of the medical workers who spend their hard money next door and come and eat there. We decided to stop by this new Marietta location for the 1st time. However, when my wife approached the door there was a worker named Kalana (?) guarding the door like security. She refused to let my wife and I in the store and told us the store was closed at 8:57pm (closing time on door and google says 9pm.) She was extremely rude, nasty, and disrespectful. We asked for the manager and she said she was the manager We asked for her boss's name and she said it was Zip. This was us having this conversation with door opened half way. The other female co-worker could have made our smoothies in the 3 minutes of having this petty dialogue with Kalana. Needless to say we will not be giving this particular location our business ever. If they treat their customers like this you have to question the food quality, smoothies and everything else. And the kicker is my wife was considering putting in a huge catering order for a corporate conference down the street that was coming up next week. Advice to Zip, fire Kalana or make her the night security guard as she pretended to be tonight and costed you a lot of potentisl...

I had no idea they were connected with doordash I wouldāve rather put in the order through door dash because dealing with a lot of these restaurants these days is terrible . The customer service/hospitality is not like it use to be itās every man for himself. Anywho I called the restaurant several times asking to speak with a manager and had the hardest time getting one .. Finally spoke with a young lady never did get her name Explained I placed an order at 2pm the doordash driver never picked it up its 4:30 pm I was at work and leaving at this point ..told them to cancel the girl said sheāll cancel it .. 6pm comes iām home cooking dinner get a notification the door dasher has picked up the order im like WHAT ?! Called door dasher to cancel the order it shouldāve never been released it had been 4 hours later spoke to a manager she said the district manager has to refund very understandable 7 days go no refund call Thursday today is sunday still no refund itās been 10 days without a simple resolution I shouldnāt have to chase someone around for$ 17 Itās the principle of me having remind myself to look out for something that m been taken care of Iām never ordering from this...
