We tried Blend of Seven for Mom’s Night Out last night at around 6:15 PM and we were left disappointed. We have been dying to try this place out as we all love wineries, but the wine and service had us saying we won’t be coming back.
The wine selection was huge, but the flavors of the wine were not good. Some just tasted sweet with no other flavors, one of my friend’s had a similar profile to rubbing alcohol, and overall just were not our preferred wine choices. We each got a flight and we’re told by our waitress that we could only do one flight and that was it. With how big the selection is and being a winery, we were completely shocked by this. How can anyone try all the different wine choices if we can only have one flight of four 1.5 ounce pours? We have been to several wineries in the area and have never been told we could only do one flight.
Which then leads me into service. Our server was good, but took forever to get our orders and even told us not to order any more food after our appetizers because “the appetizers should be filling enough for us”. We were planning on eating dinner there but due to slow service and our server cutting us off on food we didn’t. It was not very busy at all.
We did love the pretzel charcuterie and bread service appetizers that we ordered. Wish we could have tried more food items but we were recommended not to.
Overall, we were left disappointed after having so much anticipation to try this place. Poor service and a weird tasting wine selection left us moms deciding this will not be a future stop for...
Read moreWe ordered a bottle of VOVelvaTouch wine. Nowhere on the wine menu does it state this is an effervescent wine nor did the server so inform us. The effervescence was harsh and off putting and had an unpleasant mouth feel. It is listed as semi sweet and missed the mark there as well. We ordered food with my wife ordering the cheese cakzone bc she does not eat meat. I ordered the chips with pulled pork and their sauce. The calzone was well packed with cheese . The dough g. Was very pale and slightly under cooked. It did have herbs on it which was a nice add. My dish came out barely warm and the cheese had hardened into a shield that had to be cut as opposed to pulled apart. The chips were kettle cooked potato chips which were different and actually a pleasant surprise as I had expected the usual tortilla Chios that you get elsewhere. They held uo well and were still crispy but that was must likely due to the desert dryness of the pork. No smoke taste or aroma to be found despite the smoker in the front parking lot. For someplace considered the beat winery in Delaware County this was a disappointment as we had looked forward to good meal and bottle of wine. The bright spot was the friendliness a...
Read moreI found this winery through a friend and despite living roughly 30minutes away it's always worth the trip. It's seriously one of a kind. All of their wine is amazing. I bring their peach wine with me to parties and I get tons of requests on how to get more. The owners are wonderful people. Steve really takes the time to listen to you when it comes to your wine preferences and enjoys introducing you to the large selection they offer. Sandi is the sweetest, coming up with new event ideas to bring color and fun to the place. The atmosphere is comfortable and intimate with a huge room available for rent. Catering is offered and the food is great (hickory smoked burgers and the pizza are amazing). They have live music almost every Friday and canvas and painting nights once a month. If you get the chance, go visit. Its...
