We visit the Marlboro Commons Whole Food Store about twice each month and have always found both the quality of products and the professionalism of the staff to be consistently superior.
The organic veggie section is the 1st thing you encounter when entering and it is both attractively displayed and filled with excellent produce. The cheese shop, butcher's block and fish monger are all top notch as well.
The circumference of the store is clearly more appealing than the mid section in both products offered and appeal of the shelf presentation, but on occasion I wander into that area and find an organic canned or packaged item I want there.
Of course, everyone who goes to Whole Foods knows they are over priced compared to the competition, but if you know what to expect, a shopper may feel like they are being healthy or eco-friendly...

But the intersection outside Marlboro Commons, on Route 9, is TOO busy and congested, and it forces motorists coming from the south of Freehold/Manalapan on the highway to do yoga-pose driving to get to the parking lot -- way too much work, in my opinion. The Whole Foods at this location seems to be a "lesser" format store, meaning its smaller than Princeton and lacks staples like the $2.99 table wine sold in Red Bank and most other locations (probably because it couldn't figure out New Jersey's absurd liquor licenses). I figured a Organic rotisserie chicken, baked mac & cheese & a nice fresh salad bar salad, a half gallon milk & 2 1 liter bottles of selzer $ 50 dollars ! $10 Chicken was very dry & the mac & cheese after reviewing the register bill was $18 dollars! I could have bought 8 lbs of dry pasta & 3 lbs of cheese ! Salad was good but cost me $10 for some greens & cut up veggies. Not sure if I would do...
