T.J. Maxx — Local services in Marlboro Township

I am a little late posting this but I was at this store about a week ago in the evening. There was a horribly rude customer in line ahead of me. From what I overheard she was trying to make a return without a receipt or tag (all she had was her bank statement which does not list exact items purchased, just a total...) so there was no way of telling she purchased the item from TJ Maxx. She went on a whole rant about how they’re losing a customer and she wanted there number for customer service, etc. all with a nasty attitude. During the entire interaction the two male employees behind the register handled the situation completely calmly and professionally. They defused the situation and she was out the door without making a bigger scene. I was very impressed. Even after she left, they didn’t say a word about it to each other or anyone else, just continued on with business as usual. I know after dealing with someone as rude as her I’d want to vent to everyone in my path. Good for them to sticking to the store’s return policy and being super professional. T.J. Maxx 54 Rt. 9 - Rd, 3, Englishtown, NJ 07726

Pros: Strip mall = plenty of parking Great selection of high end/designer items Everything from clothing, shoes, bags, linens, home goods, etc. Inventory turns over quickly Extremely reasonable prices Great selection of workout wear & fitness equipment at excellent prices Clean & organized store Friendly staff Checkout moves quickly Great store to buy gifts whether it be toys, clothes, a house warming party, baby shower, birthday, etc. Perfect place to find dorm room necessities (linens, kitchen items, rugs, wall art, etc.) Great seasonal décor!

Cons: None come to mind. Beware, you can spend time in this store! It’s not an in & out. The bargains will create a new shopping addiction!

Bottom line is that T.J. Maxx in Marlboro, NJ has a lot to offer & I would recommend visiting it.

2 weeks ago I had bought a pet body suit, little dinosaur for my cat to wear, turned out to be to small, i had gone to another tjmaxx to return it (due to me living an hour away from this store) and they wouldn't let me because the item had the wrong sticker on the tag, it was a pricing sticker for baby items while it's clearly a pet item, today i come into the store trying to return it, Didn't have the receipt but the tag was still attached, brown haired manager comes over saying it can't be returned even if i had the receipt cause its a "halloween product", although i literally just bought it, so i threw it out in the trash in the store since i can't get any type of help with the item or even store credit!! i couldn't get a return cause of the stores mistakes first off having a "halloween" product out in the end of march and also because of the wrong tagging on it.....
