I walk down to the pier (which is disappointingly still under construction even after the spring 2025 deadline) and walk around the lake at least twice a week. You can also fly kites on the big lawn and fish off the levees and walkways. You can also just sit and watch the boats go by. It is relaxing. I've never had a problem with anyone and don't worry about break-ins. I'm just irritated that they haven't finished the fishing pier and seemed to have just stopped work on it after the deadline. Read moreMarina did not answer any calls or return any messages during their business hours. Our sailboat got stuck in mud in about 4 feet of water during high tide on our way to the guest dock. We used a rope to pull ourselves into a slip, with help from another boater on the dock. Marina office was empty, the other boater confirmed they flaked on helping him that day as well and said another boat got stuck there a week prior. Beware shallow water in the marina even during high tide, and be aware that it is near impossible to reach the harbormaster. Also, the docks were falling apart. Very nice little...
