Appliance Wholesalers — Attraction in Maryland Heights

Bought a washer & dryer from them about 3ish years ago. Both work great. Had a problem with the dryer making a noise, they came right out and fixed it. No problems since. Based on this, it'd give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Based on my positive first experience, I went ahead and decided to buy a dishwasher from them. Boy, was that a huge mistake. This is what's happened over the last 6 WEEKS

6/24 bought dishwasher 6/25 delivered and hooked up by Terry, didn't work 6/28 call AW, was told to "call LG" 7/9 LG comes out, "nothing wrong with washer, maybe it's the plumbing or installation." Make appt with plumber. 7/12 Plumber replaces valve. "good h2o pressure, all lines flowing". Call AW-- "Terry coming by tomorrow" 7/13 Terry no show 7/14 Call & reschedule with Terry 7/21 Terry no show again. Call AW again--"someone else can come 7/26" 7/26 AW repair man, "I don't know what's wrong with it. Call AW and they'll exchange it for you." They offer to replace, i go up there and pick out new 1. Was told Terry would call to set up delivery 7/28 Still no call from Terry. asking to just return and refund, told "it needs to be approved" 7/29 "We don't do refunds but can exchange it. you'll hear from someone before next week." 8/3 haven't heard back, call and talk to Sam. Says Andre can come and replace it tomorrow 8/4 AW calls and says Andre is unable to install, they currently have nobody that can install but can drop the new 1 off. I tell them that's fine, but I would need a refund on the installation cost, as I've already paid to have it installed. State they cannot give a refund because the installer was a third party, even though this was not shared with me when I bought it. Continue to refuse return of installation cost and of dishwasher. AW said they would exchange tomorrow and the repair man would do a "free installation"

Tomorrow marks 6 WEEKS of having a BROKEN "new" dishwasher in my home. Customer service SUCKS!!! Despite my very good experience with my washer and dryer, I will NEVER recommend this store to anyone ever again!!!! Spend the extra $200 and go to lowes

After posting this review here and on Facebook, I filled a complaint with the BBB. The next day, AW called and set up delivery for a replacement. So, my advice would be to buy with caution. I wish I had 4 hands so I could give them 4 thumbs down. We purchased a while back a GE refrigerator which still rang great unfortunately upon purchasing a Samsung RF28R6301SG/AA and having it delivered to our house things took a turn for worse 4 months later. Not only does the refrigerator come as is, meaning manufacturer warranty does not apply on it any longer even if it’s within the 1 year manufacturer date but also any parts on it, like compressor, which have 5-10 year warranty will be void as well. The seller provides a 6 month warranty on these but after reporting the issue Friday morning we have yet to hear back from them 7 days later on scheduling a service call. They called once and were confused if it was delivered or we picked it up. The invoice clearly states it was scheduled for delivery regardless of what the employee circled on his original invoice as pickup apparently. Per their limited warranty agreement it states that “A SERVICE CALL WILL BE SCHEDULED WITHIN 5 DAYS OF REPORTED MECHANICAL PROBLEM.” Again this has yet to be scheduled for us and they missed their own deadline. I had to pay another company to come out and diagnose the issue, which is related to bad board on this particular model. This is something they would order and fix for us. All of this was done before I even had a service call scheduled from the business I purchased the fridge from. Horrible communication and taking ownership of issue per their customer contract. They broke their own warranty service agreement as we have yet to hear back about this lemon.

Be cautious. You are taking a huge risk going shopping here and even though as you might think you are saving few hundred here it will cost you thousands in the long run. Avoid the headache we had and buy new from REPUTABLE company who will honor their sales practices and warranties.

Great shopping experience and very happy with refrigerator! Details: Our 12-year-old refrigerator had issues that would have cost too much to repair. We were going to go the usual big box stores and pay whatever the price was. But my wife had heard about a scratch-and-dent store... and we went there to Appliance Wholesalers on 2253 Administration Dr, Maryland Heights, MO 63146. The staff member was super helpful (I won't call him a salesperson, because he didn't try to "sell" us anything). He gave us plenty of time to look at the units available, while he was doing other things, and he came back to check on us every ten minutes or so... He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of different brands and typical issues, especially related to the different ice machines (which was something we disliked about our prior fridge). I think we stayed at least 90 minutes before we decided on a fridge. We were able to look at the model/serial numbers of the fridge we were considering, and looked on the website of the big box store and saw it for hundreds more. Then, the staff member was actually willing to do fair/reasonable negotiation with us to get our price down to what we wanted to spend (we didn't ask for much of a extra discount because we always want local businesses to make a fair profit, while getting good value for ourselves). The delivery team was fantastic, and very conscientious in protecting our walls and the stainless steel on the fridge when they installed it. And, by the way, it took us two days after it arrived before we finally found the "scratch" that made the fridge "imperfect"... it was a tiny hairline scratch on the brushed metal door handle, not even noticeable unless you know what you're looking for.
