Edit: La Quinta backed out of even the 1 night rebate they said they would refund. I was never refunded. Priceline nor the hotel contacted me back. I finally after a month was able to get a hold of someone at Priceline who said they would contact the hotel. Then sent me an email saying nothing would be refunded. Neither stuck by the satisfaction guarantees. I will not stay at La Quinta, nor use Priceline as they did a complete 'Bait and Switch' by offering me a hotel that was in no way comparable. It is one of the worst hotels I have ever spent time in. I have traveled extensively, traveled to 42 states. 4 countries. This was the worst for the money. We had a 5 night stay at this place. Priceline gave us a deal choice (three hotels, they pick, for less money). One of the 3 was where we usually stay, Pear Tree Inn by the airport. Pear Tree Inn is an awesome hotel, so I wrongly assumed all three hotels would be comparable. Not. Comparable. At. All. Filthy. From the room, rugs, doors, trash, to lack of service to the room. 5 nights 6 days no housekeeping, towels, shampoo, trash removal. I asked for housekeeping 3 times, they never came. I was finally able to get 2 clean towels and a shampoo, on my 5th night. Door locks didn't work the first time, or even the 10th most of the time. From the side entrance, pool to our room. Frustrating to try to get in! Doors and carpets, as well as floors were filthy. Pool was closed all of one day, part of a next. We had used having a pool and breakfast in our search. We were able to use the pool 3 out of 6 days. Every day, breakfast was a sorry mess. Never know what items would be missing. From watered down gravy (which was usually empty of everything but a small drop) and the watery waffle mix, overcooked hard, rubbery and cold eggs, no protein like sausage or bacon, no bowls, spoons, out of fruit, all 5 mornings there were only apples available, and twice they were completely bruised. The orange juice, and milk were frequently empty. Breads, muffins, bagels, empty. Eating cereal with a fork from a cup was a new adventure for my daughter! Tables weren't bussed, trash wasn't emptied. One day a box was put next to the overflowing trash. I believe short staffed was the name of the game. The guy at the desk was rude and wouldn't (or couldn't) answer my questions or respond to my request for housekeeping. I don't believe he was fluent in English. Someone needs to look into this hotel. It wasn't worth $10 a night. The room drawers were dirty, the small fridge had leftovers in it and was in need of cleaning and defrosting. The microwave needed wiping out. Behind the dresser was dust and someone's belongings. Sink was cracked, bathroom doors were chipped and swollen at the bottom. Doors don't close. The tub had a big chip in it that looked like a large bug. I had to scrub the tub so my daughter could bathe. I'm glad I brought cleaning wipes. We left it cleaner than when we got there! Every morning we woke up with (more) bug bites. By day 6, my daughter (6) had 7 bites, I gave up counting mine at 14. I killed 2 spiders in the bathroom, washed one down the tub. . I looked for bedbugs, but didn't find any. However I'm disabled and can't see small things really well, so I may have missed them. The hallways and elevator were hot, humid and stank to high heaven. No air circulation in the halls or air conditioning. Same with the trash piled high by the side door. It reeked. As we were leaving someone was piling it into a bin to move to the dumpster at the back of the property.. Marijuana smell permeated the hotel and the area around the pool. Forget Satisfaction guaranteed. They me a one night rebate and a 20% off coupon for my next visit. I wouldn't step foot in that hotel if I were paid. Their only positives were it was close to freeways and activities. There was one staff member that was friendly. We would have left but I had no money left to make reservations elsewhere. It was my first vacation in many years, and while I had a lovely time in St Louis. The hotel was abysmal.

This has been a fairly convenient location for when I visit St. Louis each summer. I doubt we'll go again, however, given the condition of the rooms and technical problems with door access and internet. As can be seen by the photos, the bathroom had several moldy spots, particularly where the sink seemed to be "falling" away from the counter. The French doors on the bathroom weren't aligned and difficult to close. And there was gum or something on the carpet, where I felt it was easiest to just throw a sheet of paper on top so my socks didn't stick to it. This was actually the 2nd room we had on the trip, but when my daughter and I were attempting entry to our initial room, I could hear a man screaming at his crying child in the next room. Our key-pass wasn't working on that room, anyway, so we went to the desk and they moved us to another floor (I also reported what was happening next to us). In trying to enter the hotel via remote access doors, our key pass didn't work. Later our new pass did work. Finally, our Wi-Fi and TV weren't working for a couple of days. I reported this to the desk who referred me to a help line. The help line tried to troubleshoot with my phone and tablet settings, later acknowledging that the problem was on their end. They said the TV issue was not related. The next day both the TV and Wi-Fi appeared to be working. The breakfast buffet is typical, with waffles being the favorite for most kids. On one day the waffle maker wasn't working for anyone, but it was operating properly the next day. Staff was friendly and did their best to resolve all of our complaints. I didn't complain about the room condition given it really wasn't much different than our room a year ago. I figured they're all in poor condition. Seems like mgmt. is just putting off maintenance, maybe to increase the bottom line or presuming it needs a full remodel at some point.

Staff were friendly and nice and breakfast wasn’t terrible. That’s it. The owner of this hotel does not seem to care about the guest experience, reviewing previous reviews from MONTHS ago, non of the things mentioned in those reviews have been addressed. This hotel is the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The first room we were given looked like the bed was broken as it gathered in the middle and there was hair on the bed. We requested a new room and the staff at the front desk apologized and gave us a room on the 2nd floor instead (seems the first floor rooms are the worst). Room was better but the rooms have an odor to them, our new room had a French fry between the night stand and the bed and a deodorant cap so it was clear it was not cleaned properly at all. We went down to request the room be thoroughly cleaned, it never got done. We stayed for 5 nights but the key kept being disabled. Got up to our room multiple times just for the key to be disabled and we had to go all the way back to the front desk. The hallways absolutely STUNK of a foul smell, mixture of dirty carpets, wet dog, weed, sometimes even the smell of poop. The carpets in the hallways always had some kind of dirt on them, stains, crumbs, bread on the floor from the breakfast area down the hall. The elevator floor was dirty and had baked beans spilled on the floor but seemed the following day they were just swept up rather than actually cleaned and mopped because crusty sauce was still on the floor. The rooms need serious updating. The bathtub/shower didn’t work properly, the shower would only be on if the bath soaker faucet was also on so the bathtub would be filling up as we showered. Towels had stains, holes and smell to them. I would never stay here or any la Quinta ever again. When we checked out we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay or anything. The owner should be ashamed…

To me it was giving( we don't like your kind ) and we don't want you here anymore.

Because they refuse our service I have an audio recording of the manager claiming that we can no longer stay and that we had to leave because it was a baseball game in TOWN .

Now before he told us this his wife didn't have a problem giving us another extended reservation.

But she was trying to overcharge Us Claiming that I didn't have any points to go towards a discount.

after you book There for over 2 weeks or 30 days you get points that you can use and you will qualify for 2- 3 to 4 days free.

Now as i remember the day before they planned on making us leave and refusing our services for no reason, the manager wife was about to extend our stay she said we didn't have points and we have already been there over 30 days and she was trying to force us to pay for a higher price

So instead she said come back down in the morning and we can see if All our Points Show up / then she will add them towards our account / before we got back down there that morning they had my reservation already pulled up and that's when her husband, the manager stated that they have no rooms available and that we have to leave and I have everything on audio recording.

I have the wife recorded audio as well because she never said to us that they were overbooked nor did she say that they were booked up.

I also have the husband the manager audio recording said in his words that we had to leave and that's when my daughter was like "are y'all putting us out?" he said "yes we don't have any room"

how y'all going to put us out and we are extended our stay???

he kept giving his lame excuse on how we don't understand and so he came up with another explanation and said it's a game in town and we gave all the rooms away there is no rooms.

Explain how there are no rooms if we are still in a room and had two days before our reservation ended.

We were in a room and they knew that we were about to extend our stay period and they were well aware so he tried to charge me $126 for one night that's the only thing he gave us so I booked through Priceline and got it for $106.

Mind you the next day we had to leave not by choice but Force.

If you go to La Quinta Inn and if they don't want you there they're going to make an excuse to get you up out of there and I have Auto recording of another residence that's been there for months and they never done this to her. And my children were here for State Testing which is at the end of the school year.

And you have to meet at locations to go do this in person testing. So we booked there, we made it through one testing after that they refused our service and they didn't want us there.

I decided to Auto record each conversation for my safety and the safety of...

Edit to add: apparently they denied my refund when the booking agency contacted them even though i have a receipt showing the refund and said i can still use my booking in the future... never again. We came thru for a concert from 4 hours away. Checked in around 4 pm but did not have time to fully inspect bedding. We went into the room and noticed it looked like the floor wasn't vacuumed and we had no towels. We let house keeping know and then got dressed for the concert and left. When we came back around midnight and pulled the blanket down, we noticed a blood stain on the blanket. Red blood like it hadn't been washed at all. We told the man at the front desk. He moved us to a different room with a king size bed (was with my 18 year old son and had booked for 2 beds). Pulled down the blanket in the second room and there was what appeared to be a public hair on the bed and random dark stains on the sheet. The man from the front said it was "just a stain" and that the bedding was clean but offered to move us again. Went to the 3rd room, pulled down the blanket and sure enough a dirty spot that looked like someone climbed into bed with their shoes on after hiking. He moved us AGAIN and yet another stain on the sheet. Finally offered to change the bedding. I mentioned that i paid for 2 beds and he said he would bring a cot. I told him I was at a point of just getting a refund and driving the 4 hours home and he assured me he would handle the charges and apologized. By this time it was after 2 am and we had to leave at 7 so we stayed and kept all of our clothes on. When I went to check out he said he got us 50% back but they sent it to the bookings site I used (because the rate was cheaper by $40 on the site when I went to check in. Stood at the counter and booked online per the front desk employees suggestion). Checked with the booking site and was told they had not heard anything from the hotel and did not see amy refund issued. Now I have to wait for the hotel to reach back out to the site to discuss the refund. Absolutely would not recommend this place. Outside of the 4 rooms that were just unacceptable for the price they charge, the elevators look like they are one ride away from getting stuck and smell like they haven't been cleaned in a very very long time. It was obvious where the air vents are because of the amount of collected dust in the ceiling. If it wasn't for the fact we had already driven 4+hours and then spent another 7 at a concert venue, I would have left after the first room but gave...
