Read moreThis place has gone downhill FAST! The store is a disaster area and the quality of their items is about 7-11 quality now. I bought the salad bar last week that gave me food positioning, fruit that goes bad after a day and flowers that fall apart after 2 days. I bought 3 bunches of flowers 2 days ago and they today they looked like they were on their last legs. I decided enough was enough and I brought them back to the store with my receipt and asked for new flowers.... that is all I wanted... what I paid for. I was told that no managers were around and I would need to come back between 10 and 5 the next day... so I would need to take time off work to get flowers that were not dying. I was even asked if I forgot to put them in water! I got home called customer service who said they were putting a credit on my Haggens card for that amount and I could go back to the store to get my new flowers... so back to the store I went. I gave them my wilted flowers, picked out new ones and some groceries but when I went to pay I was told that they didn't know how to give the credit and the gal told me that was why she TOLD me to come back tomorrow during working hours. I told her I couldn't take time off because I work full-time and she told me... I work too! I reminded her that I was the customer though and she told me that she was the customer too! Shelby is a real winner for their store! I am DONE with Haggens... My flowers are my only treat I get for myself every week and I loved the quality that Haggens used to provide but now they want to charge more but give you FAR less! Just go to Fred Myer or Safeway... you will be much happier in...
Read moreEdit: regarding the reply below, no one has contacted me. I have ordered from a different establishment.
I want to like this place so much, and some parts of the store are great (shout out to you produce, customer service, And deli! :) hence two stars instead of 1 ) but the meat department is just a mess and doesn’t reflect the quality that I expect to find (and can!) in the rest of the store… or anywhere else. This is the only butcher counter I’ve been to that won’t butterfly or slice a chicken breast. Another time I asked for my salmon portion to be cut into four… there were four slices, but one of them was about twice the size of the others and they looked as if they had been torn rather than sliced. Now I’m trying to order a turkey for thanksgiving and I’m not sure it’s worth the trouble. The first time I called I was told they haven’t placed their order yet, so they aren’t taking orders (this doesn’t make sense to me, I thought they’d take customer orders and then order based on that… but whatever, nbd) I was surprised they didn’t even know what kinda would be available though (I was just looking for information). The second time I was told they would be taking orders on Nov. 2, and would have normal, free-range, and organic varieties available (great, now we’re getting somewhere!) Called back today (Nov. 2nd) and was told they have no information on turkeys, and only offer frozen Butterballs. Im at a loss with this. What a...
