Not sure if this location is related to the Bothell Korea House, but the menus look very similar. I personally prefer the one in Bothell overall, but this is a great spot for up north.
High rating is deserved, but have to note the location as it's likely one of the main Korean restaurants around Marysville. We stopped by after Black Friday shopping at the outlet and were very impressed by the reviews both here and on Google. That being said, I can't fully commit to 5 stars but it's definitely 4 stars or higher. The ability to grill or order hot food is a big plus, but we didn't try to grill because we were tired so maybe that's something for next time.
Service is amazing. Our waitress had great energy and was very excited to share her thoughts on items. Unfortunately we did come closer to closing because we had just finished shopping so the kitchen closed probably 30 minutes after we got our food? We wanted more rice but I guess they might not hold rice in a big rice cooker. Interior looks pretty good as well but you wouldn't assume that judging from the outside.
We opted for two House Specials. Crazy deal, tons of food for $60 which is intended for two people, but can probably feed three big eaters or four small appetites. This comes with a large stone pot for soft tofu soup (larger than usual), galbi beef short ribs, spicy meat (pork or chicken), half a serving of chicken katsu, gyoza, fish (mackerel or flounder), and seaweed.
Soft Tofu Soup - typical, nothing outstanding except for the size which is slightly bigger. Makes sense as it's meant to be shared between two people.
Galbi Beef Short Ribs - really solid, probably slightly better than your average Korean tofu house. Relatively tender.
Spicy Pork - we got two orders of the pork, pretty standard too with tons of onions underneath.
Chicken Katsu - I really enjoyed the katsu, tender and juicy with great katsu sauce on the side. Unfortunately it was only half a serving split with the gyoza on a tray.
Gyoza - it's what you expect, nothing exciting, little dry, but comes with soy sauce to combat that problem.
Mackerel - boneless and tasty, pretty solid meat but mackerel is generally a fattier fish than flounder.
Flounder - sweeter taste, bone-in. Fairly meaty still, but leaner.
Seaweed - definitely store bought somewhere, probably Costco but a great option to have on the side.
One complaint is that the banchan they serve is pretty mediocre. No fish cakes or any of the more special options you might be used to. Two variants of radish, peanuts, beansprouts, cucumbers, and some kimchi is all we got. Good thing that's not what we came for though.
Overall, large portions with fair price. Banchan was mediocre, order extra pre-emptively when the kitchen is closing, including rice. Order the chicken katsu. All fishes...

Read moreKorean House BBQ & Grill delivered a vibrant and memorable dining experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, my party was seated immediately—a welcome relief on a busy evening. The staff was warm and attentive, with our server, Payton, standing out for his friendly demeanor and excellent service (and yes, he’s as charming as the rave reviews suggest!).
The meal began with a stellar lineup of banchan (Korean side dishes). The pickled honeydew melon rind was a revelation—sweet and refreshingly crisp, with a subtle floral note that set it apart. The kimchi boasted a perfect balance of umami depth and crunch, while the bean sprouts were seasoned with just the right touch of savory simplicity.
We ordered the Table Top Korean BBQ Combo B with 1 soda and shrimp tempura. The short ribs (galbi) were a flavor bomb—rich, caramelized, and deeply satisfying. The bulgogi lived up to its reputation, arriving tender and juicy with a smoky-sweet marinade that melted on the tongue. What impressed me most was how each dish maintained its own distinct character; no two flavors blurred together, a testament to the kitchen’s commitment to authenticity. A surprise standout was the shrimp tempura: golden, airy, and fried to crispy perfection without a hint of greasiness.
The vibe? Chef's kiss. The playlist was a nostalgic trip through '90s and 2000s R&B -Toni Braxton, Lauryn Hill, Brian McKnight -setting the perfect mood. Then, halfway through dinner, Anywhere by 112 dropped. Suddenly, I was in a very playful dilemma: Do I keep devouring the bulgogi? Start a slow grind at the table? Or just go home and... reconsider my life choices? (No regrets, though. The music only added to the fun, soulful energy
While the bill totaled $146, the quality of the food and service made every dollar feel well-spent (and yes, Payton earned that generous tip!). Korean House BBQ & Grill is a gem in Marysville, offering both a lively atmosphere and a true taste of Korean culinary tradition.
One tiny note for improvement: A quick dusting of the light fixtures and partitions would elevate the already polished atmosphere. That said, whether you're a BBQ enthusiast or new to Korean cuisine, this spot is worth the visit. I'll definitely be back-and soon!
