Holiday Inn Express: A Great Stay for Families of 5 Our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express was an excellent experience for our family of five! We needed a comfortable, affordable, and convenient place to stay, and this hotel definitely checked all the boxes.
Room Comfort & Space We stayed in a room with two queen beds. The room was surprisingly spacious, allowing everyone to spread out without feeling cramped. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all had a restful sleep each night. There was also plenty of storage space for all our luggage, which was a big plus. The only con was the shower, it got very humid while showering and there was no system to air it out, also the shower kept crinkling whenever you moved around. Lastly, I would be aware it’s a dog friendly hotel and we noticed that the hallway smelled like dog pee, just something to think if your not a dog lover.
Amenities The hotel offered everything we needed for a stress-free stay. The free breakfast was good—plenty of options like eggs, sausage, pancakes, and , along with a great selection of beverages. The kids loved the pancake machine, and it was easy for us to grab something quick before heading out for the day.
Additionally, there was free Wi-Fi, which kept the kids entertained during down time, and the indoor pool was a hit with the whole family. After a day of sightseeing, it was nice to have a safe and clean spot to relax and unwind.
Location The location was perfect for us, with easy access to major attractions and restaurants. We didn't have to drive too far for most of the activities we planned, which saved a lot of time. My kids really enjoyed the arcade in front of the hotel, especially the pinball machines . The shuttle was a major plus, it was very helpful if you needed to get around, if you didn’t feel like driving.
Customer Service The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The con was we had a few requests, like extra towels from housing keeping, they seem to feel bothered whenever we ask for towels.
Overall For a family of five, the Holiday Inn Express provided everything we needed—comfortable rooms, great amenities, a somewhat friendly staff, and a convenient location. It offered great value for the price, and we would definitely stay here again on our next...
Read moreBooked on priceline for a deal. Called ahead of time and asked if there was a deposit or any fee along with the fee for the room itself. Was told no. Did the reservation and when we showed up they said there was a $50 damage deposit, we said we called, showed them we did and they said oh that's weird no one talked with you. So we said ok and asked if we could use the same paypal card we used to pay for the room, the lady at the front counter with glasses said oh of course and sure enough it didn't work. They refused to call the manager, even when we asked them to several times. Finally the janader was the only one who tried to help. Right as soon as I find someone who would help me with the credit card situation, was going to be there in less then 2 min they said we had to leave in such a rude mean disrespectful tone and said ppl were complaining about our dogs barking (we have 2 service animals and only 1 barked because another big dog lunged at him and barked 1st, my dogs 15lbs and was only scared). They started saying this was all our fault for not being prepared and my bf got upset and said no it's because of the lady at the front desk with the glasses lying to us and she raised her voice saying no so my bf got upset and did the same. She threatened to kick us out, I said but I'm less then 2 min to get the room fully paid for and she started swearing at us and made us leave still. I said I was leaving a bad review and she rudely and very disrespectfully in a mocking voice said oh i can't wait. As we were walking out they were swearing at us and threatening us. I'm disabled and worked hard with my bf to get us a room for Christmas eve and Christmas day because we're currently homeless and this has co pletely ruined our Christmas and they enjoyed it. I wound not recommend this place at any time. RUDE UNPERFETIONAL STAFF WHO HAS HORRIBLE...
Read moreDecided to stay 2 nights for a quick break & shopping. Excellent Front Desk staff: Mandi and Megan checked us in. Warmly welcomed as Platinum members and room upgraded to suite, much appreciated. Mandi and Megan super helpful throughout our stay with information and Megan even came up personally to immediately correct a TV connection issue. Management: please commend these ladies appropriately as they are a credit to your organisation; hotels are nothing without great staff and you need to keep these ladies Happy! Loved the breakfast room, plenty of space and cosy fireplace setting makes it really pleasant compared to other spartan layouts at HIEXPrss. Breakfast room staff ladies also wonderful and friendly and keep the hot food and stocks kept up all morning. Enjoyed the gym, they have really nice Nordic equipment high quality shock absorbing tread mills. Enjoyed using the pool which is long enough for decent swim exercise followed by a nice dip in the hot jacuzzi whirlpool; had the place to myself so was extra wonderful. Location is great and the Hourly shuttle bus is so convenient for taking us to the casino as well as shopping outlets.Made our Anniversary celebration at Tulalip that much more enjoyable as didn't have to drive. Thorougly recommend this property as a base to stay and Seattle is only an hour away.
The Only Con I would say is that being on 2nd Floor, guests immediately above us were heavy footed and the ceiling was not sound proof enough to muffle, so woke me up a few times which didn't bother me but I can imagine Light Sleepers would, so recommend top floor if you are...
