The Geekery is one of my favorite comic stores in Jersey! The layout is visually pleasing for both long time collectors and new fans alike. Beyond the new comic wall, the back issue area, and the collected editions section, there are numerous displays with staff picks, featured new books, and info to help any level of comic fan to find their way to the good stuff. The owner's provide a warm & welcoming atmosphere, which again, fosters the not only loyal customers, but an inclusivity that breeds enthusiastic newcomers. Beyond all that, The Geekery celebrates its Jersey roots with The Matawan Maneater as their mascot, plenty of Weird NJ magazines to choose from, and organizing events for the locals to participate in, making it one of the true anchor comic shops of the state, and a must visit for any self...

Great store, run by knowledgable, friendly young men. Doug and Justin are very helpful, ready with a book suggestion, or to listen to one. They are well versed in all aspects of comics, which makes conversation, and searching for things, very easy. If you are looking for the personal feel afforded by not being one of the 'Business First' shops, this is your place.

Update 10/12/22 Doug and Justin have recently expanded their collection, separating out the Silver and Bronze Age books from the Modern books.

Little considerations like this, helping the collector who wants to complete his collection without having to hunt through hundreds of ‘New’ books is one of the touches that make this a special place to feed your...

As the owner of my mobile collectibles business, (will not advertise out of respect), there are times when my client is in search of a very specific book in a very specific condition and yes not every collector seeks that 9.8 or better. I love coming here, spending an hr or two searching and at no point am I bombarded with questions. Also, as an individual on the spectrum, breaking my concentration with what most perceive as an opportunity to sell me something, is most egregious. Not here. You get your time and space and when I do have a question, they are honest about it. Hell, I am on my way...
