I believe Nanette Fluhr is one of the greatest, if not THE greatest classical Artist of our time. She is also a wonderful teacher that has the wisdom, skill, and compassion that she generously shares with her students. This makes her successful at both creating magnificent paintings, and being an extraordinary teacher, resulting in creating more skilled artists!

It was over ten years ago that I took my first class with Nanette. Although I had an art background, I felt I wanted some direction to refine my skills. I was always drawn to doing portraits so I signed up for her class. From my first class, it became clear to me how dedicated and thorough she was in teaching her students individually, giving them what they needed. At first I was not one who wanted much direction and Nanette respected that. She would come by and discuss what I was working on, offer advice, then move on. However, I learned to appreciate, and look forward to learning so much about the techniques of great artists, I found her advice invaluable.
