After trying to talk to Bill Helms, Matthews Historical Foundation Vice President of Marketing/Publicity/Events about my event - we will not be going with this venue. He was rather short and instead of being helpful he was unbelievably rude. For someone that runs your marketing/publicity - I don't think you should say things like: "If the email offended you that much it is probably best you booked elsewhere. I don't think you would have been a good fit for our house." to someone who is trying to spend money with you. I hope anyone who is looking into working with Bill Helms...

I just had my wedding here and it was all I could have wanted and more. The house is beautifully preserved and decorated. Bill was so helpful with renting and the money you spend goes to keeping this house in the impecable condition it is in....
