Has anyone auditioned that's on the Autism Spectrum? Our daughter wanted to try, so of course we said yes. Both of our daughters auditioned for Charlottes Web today and I have to say it was EXTREMELY disappointing. What started off as her excitement in just auditioning turned into leaving with daughters that usually have wonderful happy spirits get their feelings hurt. She wanted to play Templeton. Only wanted to audition and say,"Im a happy rat", they would not allow her to speak "Templeton " anything. Yes, our daughter was excited, but did not run around the room with scissors like they told my husband. Our other daughter was in there and there were no scissors. Yes, it was an empty room, so our daughter ran a few circles when she entered the room. Our daughter picked up a lollipop stick off of the floor and asked if she could throw it away and was told to Go Sit Down! If everyone were given the opportunity to audition, let them audition. They may not get cast in the play, but let them do the best they can do for the 10 minute audition. This is suppose to be kid friendly, inviting schools to see these plays year after year volunteer playhouse. They want this type of child________________. Save yourself time and energy if you have a child with special needs! This has hurt our family, but this too shall pass and hope to find and support a playhouse that recognizes ALL...

We have been to see multiple shows over the years and even though they may not have all appealed to us particularly, we do appreciate the effort and showmanship of the casts for each and everyone of them. This is a great place to introduce people to this great form of art. The casts are always approachable and the intimacy of the theater makes you want to come back again and again. The big screen has nothing on this quaint stage!!! We will continue to go again...
Read moreMy partner & I went to see "A house is not a home" Friday. The show was AWESOME, lighten was great. Being there with strangers made it feel like a home. All the cast was friendly & took time to converse. There was snacks also. Most of all what I love is ALL donations are for the children. "THE CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE" can't wait for the next show...
