I stumbled upon Exchange Pizza Depot tucked in-between buildings, with parking in the back, and I'm thrilled I did! This place is a true hidden gem for pizza lovers like me.

The first thing that caught my attention was the cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's perfect for a casual dinner or grabbing a quick slice during lunchtime. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had a great dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the pizza - it's simply outstanding! The crust was crispy on the outside, yet soft and chewy on the inside, just how I like it. The variety of toppings and their generous portions left my taste buds dancing with joy. Whether you prefer classic pepperoni or adventurous gourmet options, they have something for everyone.

Besides pizza, they also offer a wide range of sides and appetizers that are equally delicious. I highly recommend trying their garlic knots and mozzarella sticks – they are to die for!

In terms of pricing, it's very reasonable, especially considering the quality and taste. You get excellent value for your money.

Hey, do you like a restaurant where they take your money and you get nothing in return? Well then the Pizza Exchange Depot is the perfect restaurant for you. I waited 45 min to an hour only to be told that they lost my ticket. No offer for a replacement pizza, no offer for a refund. So I asked if I needed to do a charge back on my card and the kid just replied “Sorry Man. SO I left empty handed. Paid for a pizza I never got. Now, they were crazy busy with trivia but all I wanted was some food. I had been there before when they were not “busy” and the service was glacially slow then too. So I was not surprised it took so long but then the people around me started to comment that my wait was long and then the guy tried to give me someone else’s pizza to which I declined. He then told me they must have lost my ticket. Needless to say, I was not willing to hang around and wait ANOTHER 45 minutes for a replacement pizza. So I left, empty handed. I can’t even comment on the quality of the pizza because I didn’t get any!! But as stated before, I’ve had Pizza Exchange Pizza before and it was “okay”. Whatever system these guys have in place is not working. I will not be trying this place or recommending them to anyone. Of course unless it’s someone who actually doesn’t...

I ordered their Margherita pizza. The sauce was rich and sweet, and the crust was delicious. While it did not hold together well, I blame myself for cutting in too early.

This is a very pricy place. I would recommend going along with guests (I think pizza is better enjoyed with company). After all, I would want to share with them how great the quality is.

The restaurant is a small shack you order from and sit outside. It's nestled inbetween two other buildings, so it may be hard to find at first. There is some covered seating thanks to the restaurant next door, but do be aware of the weather in Matthews.

I will admit what got me to try out this place were the replies made to reviews by management. I have a lot of respect for them taking the time to respond rather than leaving a generic "thank you" message.

Pizza in Charlotte is very competitive, and The Exchange Pizza Depot manages to stand out. I do hope to visit and try something else in the future. All I need now are a few...
