This was my first time here. The services was great. The food was great as well. So Update to my first review. 1 * isn't really any more fare than for them to enforce a 20% tip on my bill. They want to point out is on the menu. I really don't care. If you provide superior service you would get a above superior tip. So now that I am leaving an update. Lets be honest. Today service was great, food was the best its been in a long time. The other week our server didn't get orders correct or the drinks. That is ok with me. The serving size smaller with over cooked food. This has happened more than once. I would of still left a nice tip maybe better than 20% that gets forces on you. Chick-fi-la still beats everyone on customer service. They don't get a tip. Go figure. My latest and last time there. It was just three of us. The lady manager made eye contact with me. She gave me dirty snotty look. She later came over to pick up our plates. My son hadn’t finished his plate. He stepped away ti the bathroom. She grabbed my plate. She went to grab my son plate. I told her three times he wasn’t finished. The third time she stopped. She put the paper in the red sauce. She took it out. Put the rice back on table and thought that was ok to give him his food back after touching. I spoke up said would you eat that after someone touched your food. She she said I didn’t touch his food she wanted to argue with me yelled at me. I just floored at the level of unprofessionalism. She left came back and continued. She said I always complain about the tip the food and service. Only complained twice about tip. We’ll even today visit our waiter never filled our empty drinks. So touching and taken out trash in our food is ok. She did offer to get more rice. That was after all the yelling and arguing. That should of been first response o I am sorry. Or actually is he finished? Very simple is he finished with his food or just left it and filled our drinks. Again customer service goes a long way. She clearly...
Read moreYOUNG WAITRESS WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL!
So I decided to go out and have a nice dinner with my two kids under 10. We got at this restaurant where the waitress was disrespectful from the beginning but I said to myself, he may be new, maybe he’s not well trained or he’s just disrespectful. I tried to stay calm waiting for about 30 minutes without anybody coming to the table at all can make anybody angry, the people next to us came after us and got their waiter, food and good service. I tried to get someone’s attention, no success, so I went to the hostess desk and asked, what was happening. I didn’t even get my drink, after acknowledging them about our situation, I got my drink for what I think is the owner, waited another 10 minutes for my food, owner or manager sounded confused when I asked for my food again. When we were almost done, “the waitress” appeared and asked, “is there anything else I can help you with”. I said not yet. Brought check and left laughing with the young waiter… that’s what it got to me. So disrespectful! If you don’t want to serve some people. You should tell them in their faces not making people get upset about dinner. I cook at home but sometimes I choose to take my children to eat out, for the experience. paid at the front desk and I told them about my bad experience. I asked for manager and told her briefly as she’s super busy and looks overwhelmed about my experience. She didn’t tell me that she’ll bringing the waitress to apologize. The waitress came to the front and apologized. I did not want this to happen in front of my kids. I hope he learns to be respectful and to value every customer. My only tip tonight for this young man, be...
Read moreSo, I've been going to Ming Fu almost since the day it opened—usually 3-4 times per week for lunch. Both the Waxhaw and Mathews locations. I've recommended it to my extended family, and we go there for dinner a lot. I've been getting the same thing for YEARS. Today, I walk in and ask for the same thing and Marissa, my waitress, tells me "NO! We don't do that!". My wife asks to have her noodles on the side, instead of in her dish. Marissa answers, once again, literally "NO! We don't do that!" No other options. No alternatives. Simply: "NO! We don't do that!". The hostess then comes to our table, after I make a fuss, and explains to me that the dish I've been getting for YEARS at Ming Fu can't be made. Was I asking for a Burger at Ming Fu? Was I asking for Pizza? Nope. I always get an order of Sautéed Broccoli with fried tofu on the side. Seriously??? NO, you don't do that??? I get the same dish ALL THE TIME at both the Waxhaw and Mathews locations during the day. But tonight—perhaps because the chef didn't feel like making it—the dish I always get could not be made with no explanation: simply "NO! We don't do that!" Is this the way you treat a customer that is a "regular" at your restaurant? Nonsense! So, we walked out and went to The Bone Fish Grill on independence and had some great food. Oh—and my wife asked for no onions in her salad, and they were actually able to do it!...
