Cat Cafe Maui — Attraction in Maui

I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the Cat Cafe! Over the past couple of years, I've been fostering for the Maui Humane Society. Recently, I had my first kitten put up for adoption at the Cat Cafe.

Blackie Chan was undoubtedly my most challenging foster, especially from a medical standpoint. The attachment I developed during months of nurturing him back to health made saying goodbye for adoption all the more heart-wrenching. Initially placed at the Maui Humane Society, he was later moved to the Cat Cafe after a few weeks.

Upon discovering Blackie Chan's relocation to the Cat Cafe, I reached out to them on Instagram in the hopes of receiving an update. To my delight, the Cat Cafe went above and beyond in keeping me informed about his well-being. Miraculously, he found a new home within a matter of days, and the Cat Cafe promptly notified me the moment he was adopted. They even facilitated communication with the adopters by passing on my contact information as per my request, providing me with tremendous relief knowing he found a caring home.

I must commend the Maui Humane Society as well for their exceptional support. They too messaged me, ensuring I was informed of Blackie Chan's adoption through the Cat Cafe, recognizing the significance he held for me. A sincere thank you to both the Cat Cafe and the Maui Humane Society for their compassionate gestures, making the fostering journey much more bearable and leaving me feeling genuinely supported.

Ever since this heartwarming experience, I've avidly followed the Cat Cafe on Instagram, witnessing firsthand the incredible care and attention they pour into each feline resident under their guardianship. It's truly heartening to see their commitment to the well-being of every cat...

Aloha I do not suggest this place at all. Rude to my 5 yr old son for picking up the cats when he was super general. Was told the nature state of cats is not to ever be picked up. Then another lady picked up a cat and the girl did not say anything to this woman. My so is very gentle and we have 2-cats. He plays with them and picks them up to cuddle them. It is in the rules not to pick up cats. Which when I turn my back my son did. The faction in which it was Handel was irritating my young boy. I also have a deep manly voice. I was told my tone of my voice not acceptable. So I stated I am a man and I am not a woman. It’s was definitely the last straw for us as she made an embarrassing seen in from of my son who started to cry. Do not bring your kids if they have autism to this establishment. It’s a mainland “Karen Vibe.” Long story short. I did not need to be reprimanded in a rude fashion. It’s great if you want to sit and pet cats and stare at them. No Cuddling allowed. Maybe they will make you sing a form stating you will not pick up the cats after you adopt them as. This girl stated “Cats are naturally not meant to be picked up.”

This was the first of many trips to Cat Café Maui. We stopped by on vacation just to pet some cute kitties and it was something fun the whole family could do. * I strongly suggest making sure you book ahead of time online, they are quite popular.* They partner with Maui Humane Society trying to help them find their forever homes, even if you aren't looking for a new furry companion stop by and help them socialize. We ended up there 3 times and adopted 2 to beautiful, sweet cats, awesome cats. They have everything you would need to adopt both locally or if you plan on flying your new friend back home.  Even They have many different activities you can do such as movie nights, art nights, etc. Also they have a super awesome program where you can volunteer to fly a cat back to the mainland if they need a ride to their new home. They set you up with everything you need and pay for it as well. As someone who just flew back with 2 cats and a kid, I can tell you it wasn't as difficult as one would think.
