Paia Bay is a beautiful place to spend the day at the beach! There's a basketball court, restrooms and parking right at the edge of Paia town. It's a lovely stroll up Baldwin Ave. To all the shops and of course Mana foods Which have amazing deli foods and a huge selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes. On Thursdays they have venison burger made fresh for the wild game lovers. Although this is an amazing and beautiful town it is critical that you keep your vehicle locked and keep your personal belongings on you at all times as there are break ins and thefts on a daily basis. I would not recommend renting a soft top vehicle on Maui as they are easy targets for the thieves. If you carry a purse or back pack do not let it out of your site. If you like to explore the beaches you can go off to the left of Paia Bay to middles beach which is a nude beach and if you continue you will see the pillars in the iron wood "forest". Just beyond is Baldwin beach which also has bathrooms, showers and for your picnicking pleasures there are barbeques, water faucets and picnic tables in the pavillon. I recommend bringing a table cloth if you intend to use them. Once again, be aware, there is criminal activity in the area and many houseless people with addictions frequent these places. Aloha and blessings to...

Read moreThis beach was tops for us while visiting all of the Hawaiian islands. It has a private beach feel to it and is just a quick 6 minute walk from downtown Paia. The views are remarkable, and we even saw a couple of sea turtles swimming close by! There was not a lot of people at this beach, but the atmosphere was very welcoming. Recommend taking the family using Uber as it is only a $20 one way ride from the Maui mall. Take lots of pics as everything will be...
