I went here during my short stay on Maui as it was the closet beach walking-wise from my hostel. I got to the beach around 9 am and it was practically empty. I spent a good almost two hours with just me and about 3 or 4 other people on the whole beach. It was quiet except for the waves and some traffic sounds from time to time. There were a few shaded areas, but it was quite windy so I never got too hot at any point. The wind does kick up little sand, but I feel as though getting sandy is inevitable so I didn't mind. The water was cool and eventually, I saw a lot of people body boarding and swimming. I heard there are better beaches in Paia, but like I said, this one was closest and I definitely enjoyed myself.
