I was absolutely shocked at how poorly I was treated at this establishment. In 2016 my husband and I found Paia Bay during our Honeymoon and enjoyed the coffee and food multiple times. We often reccomended it to our friends and family if they were going to Maui and we were excited to go back to Paia Bay when we returned in 2017. However this place has changed significantly and basically if you don’t look like a hipster expect to be treated like dirt. My husband and I had just done Haleakala and stopped for a coffee. I waited about 20 minutes for my cold brew and when it wasn’t coming I simply asked the girl about it. She gave me an extremely dirty look and told me they didn’t have record of it. The other girl who took my order was two feet away at the cash and I told the girl she could ask the girl my husband had ordered it from and paid for. Instead of simply asking her coworker she stomped away and poured me a small cold brew begrudgingly. When I pointed out I had paid for an ordered a large she told me that’s what I get because they didn’t have record of my order. I got in the car and cried because this girl with an Afro made me feel like I was stealing when really they were the ones who stole from us since we had actually paid for a large and she wouldn’t even ask her colleague. Never will I return or...
Read moreThis establishment was exceptionally well-appointed, featuring a sophisticated ambiance that set the tone for a delightful dining experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the attention to detail in the decor and the overall layout, which created a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The menu was diverse and appealing, offering a wide range of options to suit different tastes and dietary preferences. I particularly enjoyed the salmon bagel, which was prepared to perfection with fresh ingredients and a flavorful combination that was both satisfying and enjoyable. The salmon was tender and well-seasoned, while the bagel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making it a standout dish. Additionally, the coffee was of high quality and complemented the meal beautifully, providing a rich and aromatic finish that enhanced the overall dining experience. The service was attentive and friendly, with staff members who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to assist in making the best choices. Overall, this establishment exceeded my expectations and offered a memorable dining experience that I would highly...
Read moreWe needed to kill some time before going to the airport so we drove up to Ho'okipa Beach Park. Since we hadn't had breakfast we decided to stop in Paia to get coffee and maybe a light breakfast. I googled coffee and found that this place was open. We walked into a courtyard, but couldn't really tell where the restaurant was. This gentleman outside told us to go right on in, the coffee was great! And it was! lol Our server was Cabrilla, she was very sweet and helpful. The place had maybe a dozen tables, a small area for live music and a few tables outside off the courtyard area. I had a very nice Flat White (made me think of my trip to Sydney), my sweetie had coffee black and we both had an open-face egg sandwich, I had mine on a croissant, he had his on a bagel. I can't remember what it was, but there was a light drizzle of something over the sandwiches that was very tasty. Service here was excellent, quick and friendly. If you are doing the Road to Hana after 7:30 a.m. stop by here for a quick bite..I'm not sure we will ever make it back to Maui, but if we do, we will stop by the Paia...
