This is a follow up about my previous review: Manager Amir contacted me and offered a private lesson. Amir is an effective communicator and very interactive with kids instruction. My little one enjoyed the private lesson and we are looking forward to the lesson arrangement ahead.
I don’t understand why this location could get 24 “5-star reviews” in one day. I would leave them a negative star if I could, and this is why.
This location doesn’t offer free trials. I took the change because the “good” reviews. This passed Monday my 5 years old came home very sad. She told me she only swimmer 2 times in half hour, all she did was waiting. I asked my husband what happened, he told me that there’s 2 coaches in her class, they spend the most of the time chatting and didn’t pay much attention to the kids. Our daughter only got 2 chances to get in to the water for 1-2 minutes of instruction out of 30 mins. After class my husband asked my daughter’s coach “How did she do today?” She said “I don’t know, ask my assistant. “ My daughter was so discouraged to go back to her swimming class. The coach has no interest to teach or make connection with the kids. This is so far off from what they advertised “fun & creative learning environment”.
I called service desk, they did offer to switch my daughter to a different class, however Monday afternoon is the only window that opens on our end which means aqua kids won’t meet our need. We payed 5 classes in advance, I asked for a refund on the future classes. The boy at customer service desk said they couldn’t offer the refund due to company policy. I asked to speak to the manger, he said I could transfer you but he may not answer. He did, no one answered. The boy said he had already left a note for his manager, the manager would get back to me as soon as possible. Three days passed, I didn’t hear anything from the manager. On Thursday I called aqua kids again asked to speak to Amir (The general manager), the front desk girl was so alert, she said she couldn’t transfer my call. She would leave a second note and I need to wait for Amir to contact me.
I have a new born at home. It’s hard but I will arrange a nanny and go to their facility to talk to Amir. I don’t know what going to happen but will post it here for more parents...
Read moreGood - clean pool Bad - Office staff is rude on phone but courteous in person I have 2 boys learning swimming here and have had to switch teachers very often so I could find a good teacher. There is only one good teacher at any given time. Until end of May it was only Mr. Amir and since Mid June I have found Kadence is good. Everyone else is just bad. Teachers like to chit chat. One particular incident I cannot forget is Mr. Parker was playing with his boat while his trainee was teaching the class. The trainee was sitting on top and helping the kids with their posture to dive in. A kid who jumped in could not swim to the end of the pool. Mr . Parker could not take the eyes of the boat while the trainee had to jump into the pool and help the kid. Ms. Abigail addressed it immediately during the class as soon as i complained and Mr. Parker started teaching the class.
2nd incident - One of my son was enrolled for elementary 2 swim camp in Session 4 that Mr. Ben was teaching. The first couple of days he/ his backup teacher taught side breath and mentioned my kid was doing excellent side breath. And then they started roll over as per elementary 2 schedule on day 3/4 and every day at the end of the camp Mr. Ben would say he is doing good but would not give any credits. So I should say very unorganized. he does not even know what he is to teach for each kid and does not remember what is good/ bad with the kid.
3rd incident - One of my son who is in elementary 3 class, who is doing freestyle(side breath) lifted his head up couple of times during the class. At the end of the class his teacher said he is good at freestyle and my husband had to point out the mistake and teacher said "ahh yes" .... so the teacher does not give a darn about what his/ her students do.
At the end of this if you are thinking why i am still with Aquakids. Its coz I got a schedule with Kadence for one kid and waiting for the other one on the waitlist. If Kadence moves out I move out.
Teachers quit very...

I had high expectations given the reviews and initial few weeks. Last few weeks have been very painful experience with them. I send twins here and haven't seen progress for few weeks. . The instructors have changed multiple times for them and training starts back at square one every time for no fault of ours. . Instructors do not regularly update the progress chart - the impact, the instructor next week goes back in time and teaches the same skills again as the student profile hasn't been updated for weeks on their progress. . We started exploring change in instructor. While we asked to put us in waiting list, we were informed later that we were removed from the evening class we were in and moved to a weekend class. We didn't authorize our removal from evening class. Upon questioning, the staff said this could be miscommunication and evening classes have no spots left now, leaving us hanging in the air. . To discuss all these issues, we have asked to talk to someone in management. It's beenmany days now that front desk staff says we should expect a call from Tina, which we are still waiting for after multiple notes left.
I see multiple staff and kids leaving off late too and attrition all around. I wish someone pays more...
