Valesky's — Attraction in Meadville

I went there as a first time user of the eWic card. I had told the cashier women that I wasn't familiar with how it worked. i apologized if there was any confusion.. at the end of checking out there was things that were not covered and I owed some cash. I had told her that I'd like to just remove the items that weren't covered and apologized for my mistake. well she told me I could not do that and she wasn't sure what was not covered. she had to call someone else over to assist her, and the whole time all she did was huff and have an attitude about having to help figure the unauthorized items. By the end of my visit, they made me feel like the biggest burden and so low. I have been told by other people they were stuck up, but I wanted to give them a chance. I will NEVER GO BACK, nor would I EVER recommend...

Valeskys is such a wonderful store with a warm environment! They have great prices, clean store, friendly and respectful workers, and a great message. They also support other local businesses which is such a great thing for our area, as we all need to work together and support one another. One example of this is where they have local vendors come in to provide samples to customers.

Some have a negative outlook due to its Christian background which is very sad to see, as they have shown how important it is to work together and build each other up rather than tear each other down. Those who would disagree have not seen the heart and mission of those in the store who have dedicated their time to helping those in their community. We do shop here, though we have had some bad experiences.

The employees are generally nice, and do a good job. The only problem our family has is with the owner (as with others in the community). That is its own story, and doesn't belong here.

Regardless, the prices are decent, and the quality of goods is fine. You can find some good deals once in awhile.

Be careful in the store and parking lot, because quite a few elderly folks go here. Seriously. Things can get tight.

The atmosphere is "Christian" and Conservative. That means nothing to our family, as far as our choice of grocery store. But, these things are put forth as an agenda here (in case you need to avoid that for your own reasons).
