The Academy Theatre — Attraction in Meadville

Went to see Jesus Christ Super Star. The show was fantastic. I was impressed by the performance for a small theatre. My only complaint was the smoke they set of prior to the show and during intermission. This was entirely pointless and probably was not good friend anyone breathing it but specifically for people with asthma or other breathing issues. It bothered my Aunt so badly that she was coughing the whole time and had to leave at intermission because she couldn't take it anymore. I really have no clue why they would do that. Can't say enough good things about the Academy Theater in Meadville. The performances are always so impressive from the acting to the beautifully constructed sets and props, to the lighting and sound. Whether you sit on the ground level or in the balcony, you will have a good view. I've sat both places and never been disappointed. This place is top notch. I'm always blown away by the quality of their productions - the cast, staging, singing, costumes, etc. is all incredible for a community theater. I go to many shows down in Pittsburgh but greatly prefer this theater - the prices are terrific, every seat is great, and overall it's a much more pleasant experience for equal, and sometimes even better, quality.
