I visited this consignment store recently- one salesperson was helpful and welcoming and told me to use the dressing room that was open when I questioned if I may try several garments on-- I proceeded to try on several items and someone knocked on the door of the room I was in- a woman in a very demeaning rude tone proceeded to tell me that this dressing room was for her client- I apologized and had finished trying on my items and vacated the dressing room- I should of told her that another salesperson instructed I use the room but left and proceeded to continue shopping- the same rude saleswoman ( a blonde older woman)then asked if I was ready to check out- I told her the items that I tried on did not suit me and she proceeded to ask where I put the items I did not want- I told her I placed them in the exact area I found them- she then scolded me telling me the items were to be returned to a specific rack- no one told me this - she demanded I show her where I placed the clothes-I should of immediately left this store but showed her where I placed the garments- this is no way to treat customers/ she obviously has no business working with the public and has no social graces of how to interact with the public!! I am hopeful she was not the owner!!!!! This is a consignment store!!!!I have shopped many high end department stores in New York City and was never treated so rudely as I did from a small town resale store-I am saddened because Meadville is a small town with limited clothing stores for women- I was excited to find one and although I don’t usually shop in resale stores found this store cute and inviting-I like to patronize small business owners- but I have seen in other reviews that customer service is not a priority in this particular store and that “rudeness” is tolerated by the business- I hope this business reads these reviews and corrects this problem because I will not patronize this shop and will spread the word that although this store has much potential it is pretentious and sadly is not serving Meadville like...
Read moreI try not to leave negative reviews, but I feel like I have to say something. I have never had a positive experience with this store. First off, many times when I've gone in attempting to buy something because the racks are full and there's a lot of selection. I find many items are stained, in poor overly used condition, or full of garbage in the pocket. I literally tried on two pairs of pants a few months ago and both had stuff in a pocket; one had leaves and the other had dirty tissues. Today, I went in looking for a simple cotton or linen tank top to be able to wear for physical therapy appointments and the prices were ridiculously high for used shirts. And the icing on the cake was, the woman working made me give her my bags from shopping at Big Lots and Dollar General. I'm not going to shoplift your overpriced used clothing. It was so offensive and I hadn't done anything to make me look like a shoplifter. I was a normal working person who came in after I got out of work to buy some clothes for my life and attempted to look for what I wanted. It is unlikely I will be a...
Read moreWhen I scheduled an appt. to take my items in, last month, the lady said they were accepting spring and summer items. Two weeks later, I went in with my items and the lady said they are not a accepting spring items! They denied a lot of my things and a lot are brand new, some still with tags on them, darling and fantastic items, and name brand clothing and shoes, that are summery!! They only choose items based on their own personal opinions! My mom and I have seen many shoes in a lot worse condition ( very used and worn ) and yet, a brand new pair of my darling heels had one tiny area that were scuffed, and I only wore them twice! They were brand new from Gorman's just a few mo. ago. My mom and dad also told me I should have said sarcastically to them, " Do you realize it is spring for another two months? Get out of hibernation!" This was because the lady lied about accepting spring items over the...
