Visiting from Jacksonville and this is a fantastic boat ramp and park. Well maintained and clean. Great view of water and boats passing. Only downsize was of all the boat ramps I have ever been too this one has the WORST boat ramp etiquette I have ever encountered. People unloading, loading, and prepping boat while at the dock. Some even do this while boat on the trailer but in the bay preventing others from docking or dropping their boat in the water. I was waiting behind several selfish boaters to move and when one finally did a guy just started backing down his boat in the bay I was pulling into. Just rude. Luckily I had a good day fishing so I did not let his idiocy get to me. So pulled back and waited another ten minutes for the next group of selfish boaters to finally move. Again other than the poor boating etiquette of people here...great park to...
Read moreThis is a very nice city park. There are good facilities here, including tennis and basketball courts, a playground, a large picnic area underneath a canopy of trees, and public restrooms. There is also a public boat ramp with access to the Indian River, and good parking for isolated picnic tables from which to view boat traffic or fish from the shore (watch for occasional dolphins!), for both around the park (water on two sides) and the Indian River (which at this point is well over a mile wide!). The only hit I have here is the need for a second restroom facility.
The park is open from sunrise to sunset daily, except for the boat ramp, which is open 24/7/365. The park is owned and maintained by the City of Melbourne Parks &...
Read moreAmazing park with many amenities. Including basketball Court, tennis amd racket ball courts, playground, covered picknicking covered pavillion with grills and smaller pavillions as well. Also a multiboat launch ramp with 2 docks. Also amazing in the AM for watching wildlife feed, i watched many birds, jumping fish, a mom dolphin with baby, and several manatees this morning around 7am. Very peaceful but busy during holidays. Also a great place to paint from. Many beautiful houses across the river. My grandmother first brought me there to do just that in the spring on 1991. I've been going there ever since. My favorite...
