If you're looking for a unique dining experience, this spot certainly delivers in terms of atmosphere. You enter through roll-up garage doors or side doors, leading to large wooden communal tables, a spacious bar, and even an Airstream camper inside. The quirky decor includes Baywatch-inspired art featuring David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, adding to the eclectic vibe. Upstairs offers a relaxed lounge area overlooking the stage and downstairs seating. The menu leans towards a "hippie Mexican" style, with fresh ingredients and no fried options. I tried the steak kabobs with Asian slaw, but the slaw's tangy flavor wasn't for me, and the cold rice option wasn’t appealing. Orders at our table came out at staggered times, and while mine arrived much later, it was served hot. Overall, while the environment is intriguing, the menu and execution weren’t quite my style. It may appeal more to those who enjoy unique, health-conscious Mexican-inspired dishes. Parking is a challenge, and it feels like this might be better suited for nightlife than a lunch crowd. Not a place I’d rush back to, but worth a try if it matches your vibe.

We sat at the bar as there were just two of us. The bartender, though friendly, felt more like he was reading from a script. We ordered the chicken wings, and I was surprised by the 3 choices of sauces (not your typical choices) so went with the Roja. Though the wings were okay and so were the chips and salsa (extra cost), what bothered me is the bartender never thought to bring us plates nor napkins. Ummm, there are 2 of us sharing wings, wings with sauce that would be all over our fingers and bones that would need to be disposed of, it didnt occur in his mind that we might need them? Nonetheless, we ended up just reaching for the bar naps to wipe our fingers and dispose of the bones. Many of you who may have read reviews from me in the past may not be aware that I have worked in the F&B industry for over 25 years. So when I say service matters in a restaurant, it matters! Nomads was a NoGo for us.

Wanted to try this new restaurant out so we decided to stop for lunch. The building was really nice and they did a great job remodelling. The dining area had a few long tables and not smaller separate ones like usual restaurants. The service was great and the server was very pleasant and helpful. The menu is “different” not your typical menu so if you go make sure you check it out so you won’t be surprised. We had the Cuban and quesadillas which were ok, nothing to write home about. We weren’t feeling it! Maybe if the menu had “regular” menu items then we would definitely return. I’m thinking once was enough BUT you should go at least once and try it out, you may like/love it. Oh yeah not to sure were you park, we parked along a side street next to the restaurant and didn’t see any dedicated parking so maybe there’s parking nearby. Won’t hurt to try it at least once.

Reserved some tables for a work gathering last Thursday. It will be the last time myself or most of my coworkers will go to Nomads. 1st issue was parking, this was expected as it's downtown. 2nd issue was the tables/area we reserved were given to another party by mistake, manager on staff apologized and it was corrected quickly. 3rd issue was there was no changing table in the mens bathroom, one coworker had to change their duaghter on the floor. 4th issue... is where the situation becomes less forgivable and the main purpose for the review... some people ordered Tea which was all flavored tea instead of regular and 2 peoples food were basically inedible, and another person recieved the wrong meal... our server Dani was extremely rude and argued with my coworker about what they ordered. 5th issue is Dani took pictures on her phone of our group and verified my phone number with me but never sent the pictures and it's been 3 days and I've followed up twice with her personally with no response. 6th issue and last issue is when I was leaving Dani stopped me to confront me about the service and if everything was OK since we didn't tip well... I was astonished, I'm not astonished by the question itself I'm astonished she had the audacity to ask after arguing with someone in our party ... if she truly cared about the service and her tip maybe she shouldn't argue with the customers... as I mentioned no one on our team will be returning.

Update: I wonder if all the other reviews that mentioned the parking were also just looking to complain or if they honestly had an issue with it like our party did? Mmmm... 3 people didnt show up because they drove around for 20 mins??? 2 of us didn't eat all our food 1 was sent back and I boxed mine up not to be rude. The person who Dani argued with decided to eat anyways since he hadn't eaten all day and he said it tased like dog food. Maybe everyone else did decided to tip 20% despite the poor service and food however as the person who book the tables I decided to reflect my disappointed in my tip since Dani seemed to want to argue instead of fix the issues. Yes I'm upset that I was stiffed my photos as this was a going away event that our team will never get back. Love that the manager is standing up for the Server, that's what you should do... but the server was wrong in this instance hence the low tip. Id watch out who you...

I have been to Nomad's quite a few times and am in the area 2-3 times per week. The inside has a great atmosphere, which gives it a nice vibe. Lots of cool touches like the epoxied tables with fun photos and some gorgeous artwork by local EGAD artist Derek Gores. The ceilings are quite high in the main dining area, and with the cement flooring it makes the huge space pretty loud with people chatting. They also have an al fresco area that overlooks Eau Gallie Blvd. Their drink prices are pretty standard, food prices are somewhat high, though probably also pretty standard. I do not eat meat and the options for me were slim. I used to get the tacos with black beans instead of meat, and they were quite good. Unfortunately recently I've been going through a gluten or wheat intolerance and to be honest I don't think there is anything on the menu for me anymore other than maybe a salad. I've had ups and downs with service. The worst case was when our server took our order and never returned. I had to go to the bar and ask the bartender to check on her. Eventually another server showed up to take her place but our food didn't come out for a long time. The best service I received there was very good. The server was so nice, friendly, and proactive with things like water, extra napkins, and condiments. She was also very accurate with our orders, including my multiple mods and requests for extra sour cream. I love it when I don't have to ask for things a 2nd or 3rd time. Parking in the area used to be so-so, with it being busy when there were special events going on. But since Nomad's opened the parking has been very scarce at night, on any day of the week to be honest. I think there are multiple factors but a big part of it is the popularity of Nomad's. The overall experience has been good, but not...

Went on 8/17/2024 at approximately 8:00 pm. Let me start by saying I really like this spot and I've been there 3 times since it's opened. Tonight started well, we sat at the bar on the upstairs patio. Bartender, a female served us. I ordered a couple of drinks and then an appetizer before the main course. Ordered the choice Angus chunks, medium rare. The meat came on skewers but was practically rare. It took forever to get the attention of the bartender (a female) to advise her of issue. When we finally did get her attention we advised her the meat was undercooked and if we could figure out a solution or at least cook it more. She immediately took the plate and said we don't switch appetizers, and said nothing more, taking the plate with her. She then proceeded to ignore us for the rest of the evening. Only after our drinks ran dry did another male bartender asked if we needed anything. We ended up ordering our main course with him and drinks. We explained to the male bartender what had happened and he seemed as shocked as us. We eventually got another completely different appetizer that we never asked for.

The male bartender tried to make it right, by comping us two drinks. He was the only thing that saved me from writing this place off. Management needs to retrain this female bartender or they will lose customers. We were never, at any time, rude to the female bartender and we didn't deserve...
