This review is a couple of months overdue. I worked with Kayla at Prestige Diamonds & Jewelry and she went above and beyond in her customer service and creative solutions. In late May, my (now) husband and I changed our wedding plans to a quick Las Vegas wedding in early June. This created a bit of a scramble to purchase my ring. I already had a loose stone and still needed to select a ring setting, have the stone placed in the setting, and have the ring returned...all in a little under two weeks time. Several years ago I had heard good things about Prestige from a friend, but I still stopped in a couple 'big name' jewelry stores to see what options they had. They only seemed interested in upselling me to other items and they were vague if the work could be done in time. After visiting three other jewelers, I went to Prestige. Hindsight is that I should have gone here first. I had a good idea of the setting I wanted and Kayla was wonderful and patient as she worked with me to narrow down selections that were available within a short timeframe and was in line with what I wanted. Kayla was able to email me photos and pricing of rings she had located based on our discussion, which helped reduce my time away from work. She ordered in two options that I liked (she recieved them the next day), I brought in my stone, and selected the ring I liked, which was everything I'd asked for. Kayla sized my finger and advised me they were busy so it may be a week for their in-house jeweler to perform the work. Three days later Kayla called to let me know my ring was done. I was thrilled with the quick turnaround time and the workmanship is outstanding. I'll be visiting Prestige again in the very near future to have them solder my rings together. Many thanks go out to Kayla and Prestige for stepping up to the challenge. I highly recommend them and they've earned a...
Read moreThe customer service that I experienced here was breathtaking! I am about to have my 3 year anniversary of Sobriety and have a ring that is the symbol of my accomplishment! The ring was too small and as a gift for this occasion my father gave me my great great grandmother’s wedding band to add to my ring for sizing! This would add so much meaning and emotional value to the diamond ring. There are 3 diamonds, one for every year of Sobriety. To have my family heirloom added to this special ring would be a difficult task but a dream come true! Prestige made it possible! Erin even came in on her day off to finish it just so I could have it on my anniversary date (which was 10 days earlier than the original set pick up date) They also put a collage of pictures together of the process of adding my grandmother’s ring! This was an experience that I will never forget and Prestige added even more value to what this ring means to me! It even helped me have more faith in people! Being a recovering addict I am very often judged negatively and they treated me the exact opposite of that. They treated me With such respect and kindness that I was left speechless! I will never step foot into any other Jewelry store for my future purchases, repairs or cleanings! They will forever be my first choice! Thank you Erin and Sarah for your time and efforts in making this the best it could possibly be! You have made a new and very cherished family heirloom! As this ring is passed down in the future it will come with an amazing story as well! This experience is one every person deserves to have! I recommend you let Prestige Diamonds & Jewelry create an experience for you that you will...
Read moreI was originally introduced to Prestige Diamond & Jewelry in Meridian when the owner bought some furniture from me during a move. He struck me as very nice and genuine. Afterward, I visited the store several times to have watches repaired and rings upgraded, and in those earlier visits I was always met with knowledgeable, pleasant customer service.
Unfortunately, my most recent experience was the complete opposite. When I returned to have some custom work done, I immediately felt resistance. Rather than straightforward communication, I got deflection and what seemed like a subtle way of saying they didn’t want to help—without coming out and actually saying it. It came across as disingenuous and even a bit dishonest.
The person assisting me has always been pleasant in the past, but this last time they were condescending, disengaged, and clearly unwilling to help. My impression is that because I wasn’t spending thousands of dollars, my business wasn’t valued. Instead, I was brushed off and sent to a third-rate precious metals place (that used to be a jewelry shop but is now more of a gold/silver buying outlet).
Be wary: while the staff can be polite, their willingness to help seems conditional. If you’re looking for custom work, don’t expect much unless you’re part of their inner circle or dropping big money. For me, it was a disappointing and frustrating experience that completely changed my opinion...
