There is so much to do! Between all of the different shops and restaurants, The Village is a place to enjoy an afternoon, evening, or all day! Start your afternoon with lunch at The Yardhouse! Have a delicious meal at the largest tap house around! Satisfy the kids’ sweet tooth by heading over to IT’S SUGAR! Where they have candy galore! Then walk off that lunch and candy while shopping the multitude of shops such as sur la table, Lush, Madewell, Loft, Journeys, H&M, Francesca’s, Buckle, Anthropologie, American Eagle, and more! When the kids get tired of shopping, head over to Big Al’s for some fun & games, or the Theater for a movie! Read moreHave come here for years and in many ways, it's the go to spot of Meridian. For anyone visiting us from out of town, we always make it a point to visit. Plenty of good shops and some decent restaurants and entertainment. The star attraction is the fountains by far with the synchronized music shows.
Although the place has gotten extremely popular and can be very busy at times, they seem to keep the grounds pretty clean.
Main complaint would be: Not closing the busier sections of the village streets during the weekend. The village has become the new drag for the valley, it's a major safety issue. Cars rip through the crowded village streets for hours on end. It's only a matter of time before a patron is struck by a vehicle. With the increase in foot traffic - especially on the weekends, people are confined to the tiny sidewalks that stretch throughout the village. Would make it much safer to close the main streets within the village during weekends for not only safety, but allow more areas for people to walk around. It's like playing frogger every time you want to cross the street.
