I grabbed coffee at another coffee joint before I went to the movies today. Of course they made me throw it out even though it was practically brand new. I should have known better but I was willing to take the chance of bringing it into the the theater.
I have been to Royal Coffee a long time ago. It's been about 8 years since I have had coffee here. I stopped in to grab a caffeinated beverage since I had to toss mine earlier. It's nice that this joint is located in the Village. I'm always full from lunch or dinner so I've never had a desire to grab a drink after a meal. So I'm happy I got to stop in today.
I was greeted by a sweet barista behind the counter. She was making a couple drinks. Her counterpart came out of nowhere and greeted me by surprise. I got my drink squared away with her and waited along the side for me drink.
I got an iced sugar free English coffee americano today. Of course with room for cream. My drink was perfectly made. It had a good amount of espresso to ice. It wasn't watered down. It had the right amount of cream and English toffee. This drink was so much better than my initial drink that I threw away. I didn't feel bad for tossing it after getting this drink.
It's such a bummer it took me so long to come back to this joint. I remember vividly liking this place when I first came. It's crazy how time has flown by. I really enjoyed the sweet gals working today. And I most enjoyed my much needed iced caffeinated beverage. I know this time around it won't be another 8 years till I come back. Looking forward to my...
Read moreI make weekly visits to this coffee stop and have always had great coffee, treats, and service. I hate posting public reviews about one bad experience, but this establishment has no other means of receiving feedback (phone number, email, website, etc.). We visited on 6/13 around 10 am, purchased an iced coffee, two treats, left a nice tip, and grabbed a complimentary water from the water pitcher (after originally ordering an ice water, assuming there would be a small charge). When I asked for a couple of ice cubes for my daughters water (she was hot she had been playing on the playground) I was abruptly told “no, we don’t have enough ice to give out extra, but you can go ask the taco shop.” I replied, “but I’m not a customer at the taco shop.” The barista then turned away from me and continued on. I wanted to give feedback to the owners/management that their ice supply seems to be insufficient enough to provide even a couple of extra ice cubes to a paying customer. My ice coffee anlso only had a couple of ice cubes and it kinda threw off the usual quality. Otherwise, the place is...
Read moreThis was our first time trying out this store as I was shopping at the mall. Usually, I do not get iced coffee; however, opted in for two simple (12 oz or sth, the small one as I recall) iced americanos due to the excessive heat last weekend. I asked for creamer and sweetener on the side and light on ice. But the barista took the freedom to add creamer and sweetener on their own. I let that pass as the level was fine. The thing that ticked me off is that the amount of ice that was given on our cups. It is literally like I am paying for the ice as in a 12oz cup, I got maybe 4-5 oz of actual coffee, rest are water n ice. The photo will demonstrate that even after scooping out some of the ice chunks, how much ice is left in the cup. I brought this up issue to the counter, got an awkward look as I am kind of an inconvenience. I am extremely disappointed and do not believe I am purchasing coffee from this store anymore. The coffee was decent, I will...
