Due to a water issue at our house our insurance put us up at MyPlace in Boise for about 10 days while repairs were being performed (including removing asbestos laden walls). The staff was always super nice to us during our stay and was always happy to give us new towels when needed. They also provided us with additional hangers which was nice. The kitchenette was very nice to have given we have a 6-month old son who started eating solid foods. The refrigerator has an ice maker and the range has two burners that worked really well. The beds were very comfy and the internet speed was surprisingly fast (got about 90 Mbps on a speed test).
One thing another reviewer noted was that you have to bring all your own pots/pans and utensils if you want to cook. Since the hotel wasn't far from our house it wasn't bad but for those traveling out of town definitely bring what you need. The gift shop offers utensils but they aren't very cheap so think ahead if you are going to cook.
As part of our stay we brought our German Shepherd and she was very welcome in the hotel as well. The pet area is very spacious and well maintained. Their pet policy allows for multiple pets as long as they don't total over 80 lbs and our dog was right on the mark so it worked out well for us.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay at MyPlace and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is staying in Boise for an extended stay or any stay for that matter. Thank you to the staff for making this part of the home repair process...
Read moreWe booked this room because it had a full kitchen in it. Our house flooded so we had to find somewhere to stay and this was close to home. When we arrived we immediately noticed there is nothing in the kitchen. Yes it has a stove and fridge and microwave... Bit no pans, silverware, plates or anything else you need to actually use the kitchen. We inquired and were told it is not policy to have equipment in the kitchen. Ummm ok, because people pack pans, bowls, plates, silverware etc. when they travel? We had family in town for graduation and so we left about 20 minutes after we checked in. When we got back we noticed the room smelled bad, like a gas heater when it turns on. But the smell won't go away. We tried watching TV, it keeps cutting out so we can't watch anything. My husband just went to see if we can get our money back, this place is not ready for business yet.
Update: they refused to refund us more than 50%. We had to leave the hotel. Figured out the smell, their outlet burned up our phone charger cords. My husband got burned really bad on his thumb. The manager didn't even try to talk to us. The front desk lady is who said she can only to 50% back and it will take 3-5 business days. Or move to another room for$80 instead of $114. This...
Read moreThis is not a high end type hotel but if u are looking for a place that doesn't break the bank, that is comfortable and clean. The Meridian, ID location has it. The beds are comfortable, sheet are really soft, nice pillows felt like what you get at a high end hotel! We picked the room with a recliner. My husband had back surgery and he was more comfortable sleeping it it like he does at home. Lots of parking, well lit. Has washers in lobby area if u need it. Loved having a regular sized frig with a real freezer for our canned ice. Has two burner stove but either need to bring your own pots and pans, utensils, plates (we brought our own paper plates and forks, spoons and knife) but u can buy it I. Their store in the lobby. No dishwasher in rooms or oven. But so convenient location. Places to eat are close by like Dennys, Red Robin, Krispy Creame are quick walk. There were others places to walk, or quick drive. The outlet mall is kiddy corner from the hotel. We drove since big and busy intersection. But lots of places so convenient to this location. It is set back a little so didn't feel it was noisy even if it was so close to a busy area. Will definitely...
