The parking lot could use some updating and I don't enjoy the dingy quality of the store. I have to stick my pastries on a tray that sometimes looks like it was used already and then hand it over to the employees at the bakery counter to be boxed up (I prefer doing this myself). I do, however, enjoy those delicious pastries and have no complaints. I also count on the deli where I can purchase quick, already made dishes for potlucks or lazy dinner. The Mexican food items are pretty darn good and priced fair! This store does offer Mexican ingredients hard to find at a Safeway or Frys, but then jacks up the prices on regular items that you can find on sale at those other stores like soda and codiments. Not a lot of variety on regular items as well. I've never had bad customer service. The employees have all been five stars in helpfulness and attitude. You'll love the prices on fruit and veggies but know that it usually needs immediate use. I hate waiting for avocados to ripen. I hit the jackpot here. When I was juicing this place was a goldmine. It's a mix of positive and negative, but you'll love it...
Read moreVery inconciderate of the surrounding neighborhood. Saturday mornings they have over a blasted radio station who disturbs and wakes everyone up. Granted this is our only sleep in day so I Iam not happy about it. 8:30 is not a good time to wake to blasting music. Ten am. Would be more considerate. Restrooms are usually dirty. Staff is over paid, over stressed, and granted their prices on fruits and veggies are great, but some are also not fresh, or no good to eat. Location is in and rough area. They do have and great Hispanic foods selection which is awesome. Would be nice if they could wait to blast music. Cashiers are mainly friendly. Sometimes meat department smells, not like Frys or Safeway smell. That's to be expected when it's open to be seen. They sometimes do make cute meat sculptures in the...
Read moreManager made mine and my mom's burrito; she put the smallest possible amount on the burrito, and when I asked if she could put more, she said no since it's 3.99. it's just a rice vean and cheese burrito. I understand, but every other food city in the area has much larger portions than this. It felt cheap and just put me off. It's more of a snack than a meal. Will not be coming here again, the staff were polite but this was cheap and scummy compared to every other food city I've been to. It's a nice looking food city, but man. They also didn't mix the drinks, so it was watery and overall a disappointing lunch experience.
Updated, I figured out their beans taste canned. Rice was undercooked and had vegetables in it, but the vegetables were clearly from a frozen bag. Never...
