Joseph's Auto Toy Store — Attraction in Mesquite

DO NOT BRING ANYTHING TO THIS SHOP FOR INSTALL OR PURCHASE!!

Okay, trying to support local shops that were not corporate and who might do some thing extra for the little guy I decided to try Josephs Auto Toy Store. This was one of the worst spur of the moment decisions I have made in years. "Kenny" , a fast talker who insured that he knew exactly what I needed while insisting that he charge me for an amp that I knew I did not need. When I challenged him on it he made me question myself as to whether the power already available was enough. (after-all he is the "expert")

Not only did he overcharge me for an amp I did not need but egregiously overcharged me for the installation (2 amps and a processor well over $700), then refused to let me return the amp after the stereo sounded worse than when I brought the truck to them.

When they were going to charge me again to re-tune and fix something I already paid for I through a fit and they agreed to let me return the amp with a "25% restocking fee" and charged me another $15 because I did not have the box they didn't give to me. So basically made another $100 on an amp I do not have.

On top of everything else , during the "installation" many of my plastic clips were broken and much of the parts inside my car do not fit correctly. They said it was like that before I brought it to them. IT IS A BRAND NEW TRUCK! !

He continued on many occasions to sell me over priced subs and other things I don't need that would make it sound better. Never was there any admission of fault even after they did things I told them not to do, like mount the amp on top of the heater vent under the seat. It was perfectly placed on top of the vent! Ridiculous. ....

Where do I start? They do not honor their work They try very hard but apparently either the Techs are lying to management or management lies to you. Bottom line is, the work is done incorrectly and when called on it, are not able to correct it but tell you right to your face that they did. They leave parts off of installations then throw them away without trying to find out whose parts they are. Me-Hey, any reason this clutch reservoir is completely hanging there? Where is the bolt? Them,- we must have missed it. Me-“Hey, you left this entire piece of carpet off the underside of my deck in the trunk” Them-“oh, we can’t find it, it must have been thrown away” Me-“hey- I found this trim piece completely loose under the hood” Them “we will re-Install it” Me - Finding it still in the backseat after I pick the car up after hours after being told that the 6 items on the list are taken care of. Them, after being told that the check emissions light is coming on after a Data Chip tune “we got the tuner to update the SoftWare” Me-watching the car through DroneMobile, my car sit at their shop the whole week it was with them…🤷🏻 ME-Even THINKING about going back to them for any reason—🙅🏻🤦🏻 Why on earth would I? I am new to the DFW area and I've been desperately looking for a place to get Aftermarket parts installed on my car. I am so grateful I came across this place where the owner was super nice emailing me about getting some coilovers put on my car. He welcomed me to come by the shop to check out the car and coils to give me a quote. The following weekend I took the car in and they checked me out, gave me a quote and went straight to work. I got my car back at the end of the day and I couldn't believe how great my car looked. I showed them photo references of how low I wanted my car and they delivered! I also got an alignment done at another shop that is partnered with Joseph's shop and it was included! We had to stay after closing and the owner offered me a ride to the alignment shop which was far beyond perfect customer service. That was really appreciated and I appreciate everyones hard work there. My business will be there's for as long as I'm in the area. On to better things for my car that will be installed by...
