mignolo — Attraction in Metuchen

Wow. This place is a hidden gem! Looks can be deceiving from outside, wait until you open the door! Be prepared to enter a beautiful, very chic.. modern and tastefully designed space. I rented this space for 4 hrs for a birthday party. It was such a big success, every friend of mine who came couldn’t stop raving about this place! There was a no shoe policy, that I was a bit worried about, however it was absolutely of no concern as soon as folks entered inside and starting to enjoy the ambience. Tobi was absolute easy to work with! Very prompt, reasonable, always responded instantly with any questions I had! She was even kind enough to not charge extra as the people just didn’t want to leave :)

There are so few spaces like Mignolo Arts Center. It really is a special gem with a strong sense of community. I have gone to numerous events held at this space and had the opportunity to see a diverse array of different art forms. I also have met so many amazing and inspiring artists. Whether you’re a novice or a trained professional, Mignolo Arts really has something to offer everyone. If you’re looking for a new art home hub, where you can learn new interdisciplinary skills across the arts, share your own, and make friendships in a dynamic community, I recommend starting by simply going to their next upcoming event or performance. Wanted to give a supporting message about this new facility which just opened for renting in Metuchen. The Santagado family built this new space to support their daughters modern dance careers (Mignolo Dance) and to make it available to the public to use for any type of creative performances. Could easily accomodate dance, music, meetings, spoken word, place making etc. Flexible pricing and hours. Great lighting and two bathroom (ADA approved). The two front overhead doors open when weather accomodates to make it a really safe and open air performance venue. Would recommend checking this out if you have a need for a very cool space in town.
