We bought our tickets on Fandango Avengers endgame for the 9:10 showing line to get our tickets. at about 9:20 we were told that the movie was sold out we asked how could this happen if we had already bought our tickets and she said that the movie theater had sold tickets on their own two and that if we wanted to watch the next Showtime we would not get a refund now and we had to buy the next Showtime out right so we made a new line to purchase tickets only to be told the movie was sold out too. We ended up having to go to another theater to watch the movie. We tried to call Fandango and finally got through to Fandango the next day and they told us they had no reports of the event. And until they could corroborate the situation they might give us a refund or a credit from the theater but that we had to sign up for their VIP and that we would be getting an email at some point. So we contacted Miami lakes Cobb directlyafter numerous phone calls and long waits we finally got a hold of the day manager which is a different manager from the night manager and when we explained to her our situation she said that that was highly unlikely and that she had no report of it and started interrogating us about if we remember the name of the person that spoke to us and why we did not go inside and speak to anybody. We explain to them that there was the huge line and that we never even got to the front of it we got cut short before we even back in the theater by an employee saying that everything was sold out even though we had already bought tickets from Fandango. Kept on asking us what were the employees names that had done this because she had no record of it and that over 60 employees work there (I'm wondering why they were not helping to improve the situation). We went back and forth for a long time until she finally told me to go by to get a refund. So I had to take my time to go back to the theater once again. This was a Saturday night showing I have to assume that Thursday night and Friday night were even crazier. I don't understand why they were so understaffed there were only two people at the counter to give tickets and I was told there's only one computer at that counter. I don't understand why there was three people at the box office still selling tickets and only one person inside when there was a line how about a half a block long just to pick up tickets from Fandango. I'm thinking if what's the Sunday daytime manager says is correct that you have 60 employees working for that location there was the manpower to employ for that evening but it is my humble opinion that the night manager on April 27th 2019 whoever that may be, is not doing a very good job Side note nowadays when people purchase tickets online you get a barcode and it is very easy for someone with a scanner Just to scan you in the system. Whatever method is used at this theater is very antiquated and thus resulted in us spending more money having to go to a different theater having to spend more money on a babysitter because we had to go to a later Showtime. This theater is not equipped or prepared to have movies of this caliber. I suppose you will get other complaints as I was not the only one in line who was very disappointed and treated this way. Needless to say I doubt I will be revisiting. I hope nobody else has to go through this again as me and everybody in this line did last night for such...
Read moreI have been a regular at this theater for years, but it has declined in quality. Despite the management's attempts to make improvements, such as comfortable seats and an updated lobby, the lack of maintenance and cleanliness undermines the whole experience.
The lobby is in an awful state. Popcorn scattered everywhere, sticky floors, and counters covered in residue create an unpleasant atmosphere. The electronic ticketing booths are marked with fingerprints and popcorn grease, nothing some hand sani can't fix. However, all the machines were out of paper, the essential item to, you know, see the movie.
The concession lines were unbelievably long, longer than this review. We wasted over 40 minutes standing in line, missing the start of the movie, only to be greeted with subpar, stale popcorn and flat drinks. The prices they charge are comparable to those at five-star restaurants.
Obviously, concessions is where they prioritize profit. The entire staff seems to be focused on the concession stand. I must clarify that the staff themselves were not at fault. It appears that management is cutting corners, as there was an insufficient number of staff members, especially on weekends.
Let's not even talk about state of the bathrooms. Use the bathroom at home.
As for the actual movie experience, it was passable. I was glad that the lights were dimmed during the screening because I can only imagine the state of the theater. It seems management must have exhausted their budget during the improvements because the sound quality was dreadful. I have experienced better sound quality on my 2004 Razer phone.
I do not recommend visiting this movie theater. Choose a venue like iPic or consider traveling a bit farther for a far superior experience. If you are left with no other option but to visit this theater, I suggest the following:
Stay at home. Snack on some stale chips leftover from a pre-COVID party. Charge up your oldest flip phone and watch another movie.
I guarantee this will be a far better experience than...
Read moreIf I could give them ZERO stars, I would. I just wasted half of my Saturday trying to watch a movie that I could not watch. I first went early on I the day to purchase my tickets in person for Dr. Strange 2. When we arrived for our 2:30 showing, we find out that not only do our seats not recline, but the air conditioning isn't working in our theater room (theater 9). We are told by the ticket agent that the air hasn't been working I there today. The manager (who was extremely nice) then gave us tickets to the next showing in the D-Box seats in the third row. This row was very close to the screen, but we decided we would just stick with the tickets because it was free and all the other showtimes for the rest of the day were sold out. We wait around and eventually go to the theater for hour later showtime. In that theater, theater 11, the audio was not working. It seemed like only the audio coming from the front of the theater (near the screen) was functioning and the surround sound was not working properly. This cause the audio to be muffled and inaudible. We thought it may just be an issue with the trailers, but it continued on once the film started. I asked the ticket agent about the audio issues in the theater and he told us that they are aware of the problem and have put a request to get it fixed but at this point there is nothing that can be done. At this point we were over it and handed our tickets back to the manager. I wasted 4 hours of my day waiting to watch a film I couldn't watch. And at this point it's too late to purchase tickets elsewhere because it's sold out in every theater. I would not recommend this theater. They may have "renovated" the seats, but they have far more issues going on with this theater. I would suggest everyone to steer clear from this place and go to Regal, AMC or Cinemark in...
