I came to Gabriel’s salon about three times. I always got balayage, which I’ve been doing since I was 15 years old. The first time I came, they treated me well. The second time I came to get my hair done, since I’m young, they always put me off to the side and prioritized the adults first. I arrived right when the salon opened, and I was the first one there. They applied bleach to my hair and left me sitting in a chair for hours and hours. They barely even checked on my hair. After waiting a long time, they finally rinsed my hair, and then made me wait almost another hour to get it dried. I was the last one to leave the salon, and the worst part was they had left a dark stain in my bangs that was much darker than my blonde.
Now let me tell you about the worst experience I had at Gabriel’s salon, which made me decide I would NEVER return. After a year without doing balayage, I went back for a touch-up. Again, I was the first person to walk into the salon. They applied the bleach and left it on my head for about 4 hours, even though I was already blonde and didn’t need that much time! My scalp started to itch and burn, and even my eyes were burning from having the bleach on for so long. The people who were helping me left me with bleach on my head while they went to attend to other clients. After waiting and waiting, they finally told me I could go rinse it out. When they sat me in the chair, the woman told me she was going to rinse the lady next to me first—so I kept waiting, with bleach still on my head, for another half hour.
After rinsing the other lady’s hair and moving her to get it blow-dried, they finally removed the foil from my hair and rinsed the bleach out. I saw the woman stop what she was doing and go talk to another girl. I stayed calm because I trusted the “professionals” who supposedly knew what they were doing.
After rinsing, I sat down to get my hair brushed, and I started noticing my hair falling out. Every time she passed the brush through my hair, a whole handful of hair would stick to the brush. The woman tried to play it off, and after just three strokes with the brush completely full of hair, she pulled the hair off the brush, threw it in the trash, and kept brushing me. Two more strokes and the brush was full again. THEY HAD BURNT MY HAIR OFF.
I had been getting balayage for 5 years and had never gone through such a horrible experience. I called my mom to come pick me up and told her what they had done. At the very least, they didn’t charge me the $500 after burning my scalp. They burned off half of my hair—now I only have half the amount of hair I had before everything fell out. When I got home and brushed my hair, more kept falling out.
It’s been almost 3 years since that accident, and I still have only half the hair I used to have from the damage they caused. And all of this happened just because I was one of the youngest clients and they prioritized the adults! It’s so disrespectful because I was the FIRST one to arrive at the salon.
I never spoke about this before because I didn’t want to hurt Gabriel’s salon, but now I don’t care—I want all of you to know my story and what happened to me at this salon! Gabriel tried to tell me it was maybe a new shampoo or cream I used, which is nonsense because I’ve always used the same products. But of course, they didn’t believe me. They were the reason this happened.
So if you’re thinking of coming to this salon to get your hair done, if I were you, I’d recommend going somewhere else—just in case they’re careless and end up burning...

From start to finish, my experience at Gabriel Samra Hair Salon was nothing short of amazing!
The booking process was seamless thanks to Isaac, who was incredibly responsive via WhatsApp and on the phone. He was friendly, helpful, and even asked me for photos ahead of time. Gabriel wasn’t available for the date I needed, so I booked with Alexander—whose work I’ve admired for a long time—and I’m so glad I did!
Alexander has such an authentic, beautiful energy—inside and out. He walked me through every step of the process so I was always informed and aware, and it’s clear he truly cares about his craft. His assistants, Naty and Orly, were just as wonderful. Naty was meticulous—timing, temperature, tone—ensuring everything was perfect, and always checking if I needed anything. Orly was incredibly friendly and took his time working carefully with my thin, curly hair when drying it.
All three worked seamlessly in a positive, harmonious environment. The salon was full but filled with great energy—two staff birthdays were celebrated with cake for everyone. Even though my balayage and color correction took hours, I never felt rushed—they took the time to get it right.
After I left, I realized I wanted more illumination in the front. I felt bad calling, but Isaac encouraged me to come back, saying, “what matters is that you’re happy.” When I returned, they greeted me warmly. When Isaac learned it was my birthday gift to myself, he insisted on opening a bottle of Prosecco just for me, even though they were closing soon.
I also met Gabriel—exactly as he appears on Instagram: warm, genuine, and full of good vibes. When I mentioned my sister, a hairdresser abroad who dreams of working with him someday, he and Alexander recorded a heartfelt video for her. Gabriel’s words were so motivating that she was filled with emotion and brought to tears when she saw it. Alexander also offered to try to source curly hair extensions for me, which meant a lot.
I left very happy with my refreshed look, and Isaac stressed that if I needed any revisions, I should reach out without hesitation. He even followed up that night via text to check in.
The Gabriel Samra Hair Salon is truly spectacular—like a well-oiled machine where everyone knows their role, works together flawlessly, and does it all with a smile. The professionalism, talent, customer service and warmth here are unmatched.
I highly, highly recommend this incredible team!

Read moreI had a terrible experience!! I made an appointment for full highlights three weeks ahead of time because Gabriel Samra was really booked. I was so excited to do my hair with him, I kept reading mixed reviews about this place but decided to go because he's very well known. The place was nice and Gabriel was very nice as well. I showed him the style of highlights I wanted so he begun. I had virgin hair medium brown walking into this salon, and he was very aware of this. He leaves the bleach on my hair for over three hours. He was working on other people but his assistant did check my hair every now and then. I didn't blow dry because my hair was already going through a lot with the bleach. After a 45 minutes drive back home My hair was already dry. when I go to look in the mirror and start brushing my hair it was falling off. It was completely dry and damaged. To top it off my highlights were white and orange. I cried because I spent a lot of money on my hair and it was so ugly and damaged. I called and explained everything and the receptionist said he'd call me back. I never got a call back ! I kept calling and he wasn't available to speak with me. I never write reviews but I had to this time. My hair was so healthy and he destroyed my hair. I cant believe I had bleach on my hair for over three hours!!! I read online that it shouldn't be on your hair for this long. I don't understand how these people would leave this strong product on my hair for so long. I felt that he was to busy doing a girls hair who works for TV then me who had the appointment first. From what I saw if you aren't famous or one of his regulars he doesn't care. When dying your hair with someone you should really know what you're getting yourself into and I hope I help someone avoid getting...
