I was very excited to take my dog Banjo here. I was moving out of the state and his regular groomer wasn't in town, and I wanted Banjo to have a nice short haircut for our trip to our new home.
The man at the front desk was very nice, and the facility inside is very cute and clean. I asked for them to cut Banjo's hair with a 1/2 inch guard, showed them a photo of a dog with a summer cut (a short haircut) and asked for that specifically. When I picked Banjo up 3 hours later, he looked great! His haircut was even, he smelled very yummy, and they gave him a bandana. There was just one problem: they did none of what I asked. His hair was still so so long! They bathed him really well, trimmed the hair on his face, paws, tail, and tummy, and trimmed his nails, but I could barely notice a difference in length overall.
The man told me to tell them if I was unsatisfied with the length, and if so they could cut it more, but Banjo had already been there 3 hours. To have them take him back and do the actual haircut would've added an extra 2 hours, and there was no way I was gonna subject him to that. Now, a little over 2 weeks after the cut, his hair is basically back to the length it was before I brought him to Lovely Pets Grooming. It's like he never got a haircut at all. So I basically paid $95 for what was barely a trim. Obviously, I can't take him back because we're now in a completely different state.
Honestly I hate leaving bad review for places. I rarely, if ever, do it. But now I'm out $95 and I basically have to find another groomer to give him an actual haircut. This isn't to undermine any of the positive reviews, but to those who are looking to take your pets here, just be VERY SPECIFIC and insistent with how you want your pet's hair cut BEFORE you drop them off. Once we arrived we viewed them and due to social distance rules we weren’t able to interact with the dog, while this isn’t their fault this would constitute more time to make a decision, however the staff as lovely pets were incredibly rude and disrespectful about this. While we viewed the dog we finally decided on, the man working just called across the room, “the dog is no longer available!” With no warning or any indication that there was a time constraint on our decision! Read moreI have a 14 year old yorkie and she tends to be a little anxious. Taking her to the groomers was always so worrisome because I hated leaving her for so long. She often left so worked up she’d spend the next 24 hours exhausted. Well Lovely Pets Grooming has completely won us over. Luis and the team are so genuinely caring. They asked about her age, temperament, and any medical conditions. After they learned she was older, they promised she would be one of the first dogs seen and would be done in less than two hours.
