I was excited to finally stop in and try this place so today I ordered a salted caramel miso latte and chicken Katsu sandwich to go. The latte was delicious. The sandwich order took 30 minutes to be ready which was a long time, but that’s fine. After going home and eating a few bites I realize the chicken was completely raw, not undercooked, not slightly pink, completely uncooked RAW chicken. So I had to go back to the restaurant and tell them the chicken was completely raw. They immediately offered me something to drink and something else to eat. I said I can’t think about eating meat right now just an egg sandwich please and then I sat there and waited and waited and groups of people who came in after me got served long before I ever got my sandwich. After serving a first time customer raw chicken you think it would be a priority to give them something to eat immediately but after 30 minutes of waiting I started getting annoyed and then I had to ask the servers (who were very nice) to be refunded for the raw chicken and they’re like “Ok absolutely”. But I had to ask, they did not offer, they did not even offer a manager to come out and apologize. I understand accidents happen, but this is a huge accident with serious health consequences and then I went to their instagram to see them they online commenting back to people saying that they never serve raw chicken, when I was served raw chicken today, and they internally check the temperature of each chicken piece, which is simply not true. And seeing those instead comments made me come leave this review. I have had no appetite to eat and did not eat any of the new sandwiches they gave me unfortunately, hopefully I do not get sick.

(The ladies taking orders and bring them out were incredibly kind and this has nothing to do with them)

EDIT: I do appreciate the owners reaching out and seeming genuinely concerned. And it seems as they have taken steps to avoid these serious mistakes again. I never want to hurt or tear down a...

Let me tell you about the worst customer service experience I’ve had in a long time.

I had one of the worst restaurant experiences ever at Aiko & Mumu. From the moment I walked in, there was no greeting or acknowledgment at the door, and the staff were simply not attentive. There was no sign anywhere stating that the restaurant was self seating. After a while, I was offered a two person table for a party of four plus a baby. I said I’d wait as I noticed a larger group started leaving. I had ordered my food in advance for pick-up, so it should have been ready when I arrived—but instead, I waited a very long time. To make things worse, I never received the drink I had already paid for.

Much later after I paid for a separate order of sushi, they informed me they couldn’t fulfill my order because they couldn’t give me the salmon they had “for political reasons”. Literally, that’s what a waiter told me (and I say “a” waiter because I can’t even tell you who my waiter was). What does that even mean?! When I asked for a refund, they couldn’t provide me with any proof of it. am I supposed to go off of hopes and dreams?! Instead, someone named Allie asked for my phone number and promised she would send me a refund receipt once they closed their books for the day. Google states they close at 4 p.m. It’s now 8:40 p.m., and I still haven’t received anything.

The entire place seems to lack proper leadership and guidance. I voiced my concerns to several staff members and no one seem to care.

This level of customer service is unacceptable. I will never go back to Aiko & Mumu. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. It’s a shame because I really wanted to love this place. The sandos I ordered ahead of time were mid but the customer experience just really brought down my day. This place won’t last long if they treat others this way. I should’ve grab my to go order and left. This review probably would’ve...

I guess my rating is only for the sandos, since that was the only thing I got. I found Aiko & Mumu on Instagram, and since it's pretty much the only place around here with Japanese sandos, I wanted to give it a try. First thought when preordering, I felt the sandos were overpriced - but hey most things in Miami are overpriced. I got a chicken katsu sando that was $16 and the matcha strawberry sando that was $12; with tax it came out to be around $30 for 2 square sandwiches. After receiving them, I felt like I paid more for the packaging than the food itself (the packaging was beautiful, ngl. But it was just for the aesthetic- so Miami 😏). The sandos themselves I felt like I could make at home. The bread tasted like the milk bread you can buy at the Asian grocery store (though there are none here in Miami). It didn't seem like they made the bread from scratch. The strawberry sando only had 3 strawberries in the middle, so 2 of the corners were just cream. I had a bit of red bean (?) in my sandwich but I don't think it was in the description? For the katsu sando, the breading of the chicken wasn't even panko, and it was served with 2 pieces of lettuce with katsu sauce. Overall, I will probably not buy the sandos here again, but maybe will try the other options when Mumu comes out. It's nice to see more Asian food places here in Miami, but because of the rarity I feel like they could jack up the prices and no one...

On Friday I ordered a total of 5 sandwiches today. Including a matcha strawberry, almost $100 and I was delivered one sandwich. And at that a sandwich I did not order! Clearly there was a mix up of some sort, I called and spoke to a little girl who dismissed me and told me it was the delivery drivers fault. They would not take any responsibility whatsoever, yet as I advised them they did not label, mark or name the bag! That is clearly where the issue lies. I couldn’t even re order due to they were out of the matcha strawberry’s I ordered. They did nothing to rectify the $100 order! Armatures and they are clearly trying to flood out the raw chicken issue they have with fake reviews. See the photos PLEASEEEE STOP LYING AIKO TEAM YOU DID NOT LABEL
