KAY Outlet — Attraction in Michigan City

In a world where the "retail apocalypse" is upon us, and folks are more inclined to buy online than in store, now more than ever do we need good examples of customer service like the one I received from Erika W at this location.

Right away I felt at ease when I started chatting with Erika about my first ever jewelry purchase. I am new to the jewelry game and have never bought anything for myself. Erika was incredibly kind, knowledgable, and transparent throughout my entire interaction. She did a great job at recommending a style, length, and material for my first chain necklace, and helped me try on a few examples. I never felt pressured to go one way or the other, and she was happy to answer all of my questions in an honest and straightforward manner.

Erika W was great at building a rapport with me, and SUPER friendly. My customer service experience alone was enough to make me walk out with a purchase, despite being on the fence about it most of the time. She then signed me up for some coupons down the road and encouraged me to return to purchase the chain that I REALLY wanted. I am hoping to return to this location even though it is out of town for me, and work with her again on another sale in the near future. Thanks for your help Erika, you...

Went in this past Sunday with my wife as we were out Christmas shopping at the outlet mall and found a stunning replacement for her missing wedding band. We mentioned my wifes ring size and even handed her current ring to the salesperson. The size they had in-stock was too small but salesperson insisted we could take it to another Kay Jewelers closer to where we lived to have it sent out and sized. Not a big deal as we wanted it soldered as well to her other ring. Ended up making the purchase. We directly headed over an hour home and took to closest Kay Jewellers in Goshen, where they then told us they could not resize the ring. They offered to refund the purchase and then reorder the ring online in a closer size so we could get it resized. After a while instore we ended up not being able to get it refunded and will have to travel all the way back out to the Michigan City Outlet Mall to get refunded .... massive headache and could've all been avoided. Cherry on top, is the Goshen location also mentioned that this location failed to mention or take off 10% for using my Kay card for this purchase...

Derek is absolutely amazing! I was having so many issues with my original wedding ring and felt like I was not getting the help I needed at another location, Derek took care of me right away and helped me make a gorgeous custom ring that I am actually excited to wear! The process was super easy and Derek made sure to smooth out any complications as well as communicated with me throughout the whole process. Erika is absolutely fantastic to work with as well! She was so kind and entertained my 5year old when we came in so I could focus on what needed to be done. My soon to be daughter in law was having issues at another location as well with a ring her grandmother gave her and I suggest going to see Derek and Erika and they helped her out right away! I highly suggest going to this location for all of your jewelry needs because they will take care of you without any hiccups! It was a pleasure working with these two and I cannot wait to get more jewelry with them...
