My recent takeout experience with Mucho Mas was nothing short of spectacular. Navigating their online ordering system was a breeze and my order was ready for pickup within a swift 30-minute window.
Upon receiving my order, I was struck by its immaculate presentation. The attention to detail and care was evident, making it perhaps the most visually appealing Mexican takeout I've ever laid eyes on. The food looked so enticing, it could easily rival a dine-in experience.
Our order consisted of shrimp tacos, a burrito, and a tostada. Each dish radiated with vibrant freshness and was seasoned to perfection. The flavors were a refreshing departure from the often monotonous traditional takeout fare, effectively elevating our home dining experience.
Unfortunately, we were so satisfied with the burrito and tacos that we didn't even get a chance to delve into the tostada. The next day, I had the pleasure of trying the tostada that we hadn't gotten around to eating previously. Despite being a day old, the tostada retained its delightful flavors and proved to be equally delicious as the other dishes, albeit was admittedly a little soggy.
Accompanying the tostada were some leftover chips. While they didn't maintain their original freshness, they were still quite enjoyable. They had become a tad oily over time, but this did not significantly detract from their overall taste.
Mucho Mas truly hit a homerun with their takeout service. Their effortless online ordering, punctual preparation, and the exquisite quality of their food have won me over completely. I look forward to becoming a regular patron, especially on...
Read moreCold - like COLD- mushy tacos with soggy, old tortillas. YUCK! The workers were mad at me because I accidentally called the wrong location before coming to pick up my taco order. I completely understand why the workers would be frustrated with me but honestly I would rather they just charge me for the tacos that were ordered at the wrong location or yell at me instead of passive aggressively giving me cold, soggy disgusting food. They specifically told me to wait out in my car for my order and they would bring it out to my car. I waited 25 minutes in my car before coming in to discover that my order had been sitting unattended, getting cold on the counter for who knows how long. When I nicely asked them if there had been a miscommunication when they told me they would bring my order out to me when it was ready they lied and said it had just come out and they got all defensive and then said they were “going to bring it out but got really busy.” (Laugh) they had two families in the entire restaurant who already had their food and no phones ringing and the two workers were literally chatting at the front counter... I would have happily come in to check on/pick up my order and was just trying to respect what I thought was a social-distance precaution by patiently waiting at my car (I thought due to COVID). The result?Cold, disgusting, mushy tacos with soggy tortillas... $22 down the drain. So disappointing - what a waste of my time and hard-earned money. I should have just eaten a granola bar in my car. At lease the summer heat would have made it warmer than those...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place, new customer.
After today I was actually so curious about the customer ratings that I read through some of the lowest and highest just to see if there was an overall pattern but I was left scratching my head. It seems like a love/hate situation which is mostly derived from food related experiences but the food isn’t one of my main concerns. In today’s market diners have to be selective when eating out and this place overall missed the mark. There were two tables occupied upon ordering (towards the end of lunch service) and we waited almost thirty minutes for a to go order of two taco plates. This restaurant is the PERFECT spot to grab some food and have lunch lakeside, or so we thought. We weren’t told about the “salsa bar” and so we arrived at our picnic table with a bag of chips and tacos. Tacos were good, not great. Price/portion ratio = satisfactory value. My turn off point was the black bean juice. It looked slimy as some weird stretch of liquid, definitely not cheese, came off my fork. I left them in the container, not sure what that was about. Lastly, your back of the house is just as important as the front and an absolutely filthy restroom made me second guess your overall cleanliness. I didn’t want to ruin the day with my Mom so I took my chances. The bathroom alone made me not want to eat whatever was waiting for me in my container.
Regardless of how long your establishment has been open you should be just as passionate about your standards...
