W. Leroy Lewis Dog Park — Attraction in Middle Smithfield Township

Nice park with separate areas for large and small dogs. Was a little disappointed today by the state of the park. It's usually more maintained. The grass was high and some areas were over grown and there use to be lots of toys for the dogs to play with. Park has shaded areas and benches for the humans which is nice. And there are poop bags supplied in multiple spots around the fence. Some owners dont clean up after their pups and the park smelled like baking poop today. My hubby and I have 2 dogs. We were camping so always on leash. So when we found this awesome dog park we and our dogs were so excited to run off leash. Clean and 2 separate enclosures. Although the park looks nice, there are signs up saying the small park is off limits to dogs for winter, due to the temporary ice rink. But, the large dog park will remain open.
