Village Butcher Shoppe — Attraction in Milford Charter Township

Been coming here for sandwiches for 4 years. They use to be piled high with meat, customer service was better as well! The past 2 times was a terrible experience, and this takes the cake! A young teenage boy took my order, he didn't know pastrami was a meat! Then said he'd never heard of it, even asked what it tastes like hahaha he works at a Meat Market! Then gives me the saddest looking sandwich I've ever been served there. I mean I know he's clearly a new kid, but a woman was standing over him- she never stepped up- even when I said this is a small looking sandwich and was clearly disappointed in the experience. Also to preface this, there were huge horse flies EVERYWHERE in the store. So when I got home and opened my sandwich and a literal fly flew out of the seran wrapped sandwich I SQUEELED. Today was my first time at the Village Butcher Shoppe. I was assisted by Larry. I feel lucky to have been assisted by such a great worker on my first time at the shop. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He is a great representation of the business. I haven't yet tried any meat that I have purchased but I am trusting Larry. There was a great variety of all meats. I was like a kid in a candy store. Next time I am thinking I will purchase a meat bundle. Anyone in the area, go see Larry. You will not be disappointed.

Update: all meats have been amazing. I will continue to only buy meats here. One time I was assisted by AJ, and she is a gem. I will have to say the village bacon and cheddar brats are some of my favorite...

Excellent ground sirloin which was very clean tasting, high-quality beef with a wonderful soft and flavorful texture.

I visited for the first time with my senior citizen mother on Saturday afternoon. We both agreed it was the best sirloin we've ever had.

Only minor issue was the aggressive "good customer service" asking "can I help you" when we're not even looking at you. I suppose it's better than the alternative, but some people like to shop and be left alone in peace.

We're looking forward to trying the smoked salmon, beef stew, chicken breasts, hunter sausage, corned beef, venison items, sandwiches and of course purchasing more fresh ground sirloin at a reasonable...
