Row House Gallery — Attraction in Milford

I have commissioned the staff at Row House to do specialty framings for me (2 original Hurley etchings and a late 1800’s blueprint). WOW! Their attention to detail is fantastic. I would HIGHLY recommend them for all mounting/ framing you need done. They have one whole wall filled with samples of frames to choose from and offer excellent suggestions. The owner has a true appreciation for local artists; you should go to the gallery to check out the selection. Every inch of this place is teeming with beautiful pieces. Row House is in a fantastic location, too - right in the heart of Old Milford. For a sampling of their mounting/framing expertise, check out the photo I’ve provided. The blueprint was torn in several places and almost falling apart. Because the staff took such delicate care, it now is encased in a gorgeous walnut frame, beautifully mounted and protected from further damage behind museum glass. As a child, more than fifty years ago, I was made aware of a Family document. I have cherished it ever since. I worried about it, stuck between the pages of a Life magazine for decades. With the passing of first the grandparents, and then the parents, it came to be mine. At the time. given family demands, I was unable to professionally preserve it, but I did put it between archival sheets, in a climate controlled space. Finally, the time was right. My wife and I took my beloved document to Nancy at Row House Gallery, where Nancy guided us through the selections of Glass, Frame, Matting and Layout, as well as a knowledgeable commentary of each element.
