Such a wonderful and charming store. Lots of speciality items, and that's a BIG PLUS for me. However, the pricing is a bit out of reach for most who are trying to get a "farmers market" experience. Fresh and locally grown produce is a part of the charm of this wonderful place, but $19.99 for a pound of garlic came out to $1.75 for a single clove. A small bag of mixed greens came to over $5.00/ bag when you can definitely get the same quality and freshness for a little over $3.00 a bag elsewhere in the small town. I have to say, this shop is definitely worth the visit, worth the quality, and I would recommend it to those who would like to have the fresh, local, experience. I know there are really small margins of profit when it comes to produce, but if you need a quality on the fly, this place is for you! You will pay for the convenience.
I would like to add that their beer selection is really great! So, definitely check it out. I purchased 6ers of both Mystic Mama, and Truth (My go-tos), but there is ALWAYS something in the beer case that I would like to try.
Not a place to go for cheese (YET), But the do carry some of the more, flavorful, plant-based cheeses you can find.
Most importantly, the service is fantastic. I have always been met with light and friendship, and that is a BIG WIN for me!
It's a very easy store to love if you're hip to all of the cool things they have to offer. I recommend looking them up on Insta for all of their breakfast and...
Read moreFrom the article published in the Clermont Sun I expected fresh, local produce. My initial visit was in late May when I was looking for local strawberries. A prominent sign, and the owner, promised orgnic strawberries from an Amish farm in KY and would have them for about six weeks only. I tried throughout the month of June and was told " they will be on the truck on Tuesday"...then " Oh , we didn't get any , try again on Friday". This business does not have a phone so couldn't call and check if they actually had any strawberries. After FIVE attempts with nary a strawberry in sight and varying excuses ( one of them was " well we really don't know what we will get on the truck") I eventually gave up. Felt like I was misled. I would have just gone to Pipkins but I live in Milford and want to support local businesses. This place has 95% packaged food and very few, very ordinary vegetables. And the owners either simply lied about what produce was coming on or were so inept they didn't actually know. Extremely disappointing! And what business doesn't...
Read moreHoly cow this place was delicious!!! My friends wanted coffee while we were in Old Milford. I don't like coffee. I was pleasantly surprised the see the wide array of smoothies available! I got the Blueberry smoothie bowl and it was so amazing. It's a good sized bowl, with blueberry blended smoothie with fruit throughout, topped with a layer of granola, a generous potion of bananas, blueberries, strawberries and drizzled with honey. It was $10 and it's well worth the price. They also have pastries like donuts and cookies too! Also have organic soaps, local honey, jams and things of the sort. Plants too! Indoor seating available. Conveniently located right next to a parking lot.
UPDATE: I tried the smoothie bowl of the month being "Hazel-Berry". It was $12 and personally with I would've went with the one I got the first time. There's just not enough Nutella involved! I was drawn to it for the Nutella but it was just a tiny bit on top so was a little disappointed but was still delicious! I will keep coming back for theor...
