As long as they take care of the invasive overgrowth while still preserving the park's natural beauty, I'm happy coming up here every chance I get. Beautiful native birds and wild foxes as far as the eye can see, this is truly a magical place! It's so refreshing coming to a wooded park that isn't littered with graffiti (except periodically finding some in the bathrooms) and broken glass - Let's hope it stays that way and doesn't become another urbanized cesspool, as I've already noticed discarded bottles and wrappers in the shrubbery here and there... I really hope the city cracks down on littering laws before it gets out of hand. People need to show mother earth a little...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis park is frequently very sparsely populated, which might not appeal to everyone but is something I much prefer in a park. Obviously, the softball fields mean that there can also be big crowds, but if not, it's usually very quiet. The park is also somewhat larger, with more foliage and esp trees than one might assume from a quick passing look out the car window.
Also, from Thanksgiving to Xmas, the parking lot on the southeast side of the park is the location of a really great Xmas tree lot, so you've got that going...
